8 Soothing Remedies To Ease The Symptoms Of PCOS

Girls, we have to deal with some serious problems, and PCOS might be the worst of them. It’s a horrid, nasty syndrome that makes you feel utterly miserable. And a solutions to the symptoms that come with it are hard to find, so to make it easier for you here are 8 Remedies to help you Soothe The Symptoms of PCOS.

1. Apple Cider Vinegar

It seems like Apple Cider Vinegar is a solution to everything at the minute but the properties of this magic vinegar help to control the bacteria in your body. On top of that it also levels out your PH which is great for the nether regions as well. It helps to prevent the build up of yeast and might even relieve some of the painful cramps that come with PCOS. Try drinking 2 tablespooons of ACV mixed in a pint glass of water first thing in the morning and hopefully the drink will ease some of your nasty symptoms of PCOS.

2. Omega-3

Yes, it’s time to get eating more fish. Or at least begin to take some Omega-3 supplements because this brilliant oil actually helps to decrease Androgen levels in women which, in excess, might be causing the excessive hair growth or acne that comes with the symptoms of PCOS. The fishy oil is also really beneficial for a lot of different health reasons, so just getting this little capsules inside your diet will be great for you regardless, but it will also help to soothe your PCOS symptoms too.

3. Whole Foods

Whole foods are great for the body anyway, but they’re particularly fantastic if you have PCOS. This is because whole foods are so far away from being processed and nasty that all the goodness remains in them. In other words, you’re getting all the natural sugars, without the preservatives and because they’re missing all that crap, your endocrine system is much better at regulating your blood sugar, keeping your insulin levels down leading to less acne and less irregular periods. So get you fill of whole food goodness!

4. Flaxseed

One of the best things to come out of the natural world in my opinion. Flaxseed is brilliant because it has large amounts of lignan in it, which is great for keeping the testosterone that you don’t want in your body, in a clump inside your bloodstream and getting rid of it from your body altogether, so that you’re not getting any problems promoted by testosterone. The seed attacks the problem head on and honestly you can add it to any meal and it won’t even make an appearance. You’ll just know your eating flaxseedy goodness. Say goodbye to those symptoms of PCOS.

5. Sleep!

That’s exactly what we all want to hear. If you’re sleep deprived, you’re actually putting a strain on your cell regeneration and hormone production which isn’t good anyway but it’s even worse if you have PCOS. Not getting enough sleep increases stress hormones which can lead to changes in appetite, weight and insulin levels in the body. As always, it is recommended we get at least seven to nine hours of sleep, but women with PCOS should be getting nine hours. More sleep equals less PCOS symptoms, what more motivation do you need?

It’s actually not hard to find either just eat oranges, cantaloupes, beans, grains and nuts. Or you can find it in powder or supplement form. Just take one capsule a day to ease your PCOS symptoms, or alternatively eat more fruit, nuts and grains.

7. Green Tea

If you’re not already on the green tea craze, now’s the time to be. The antioxidants in green tea are great for bloating, but they’re also what decrease the levels of hormones that are causing those ridiculously painful ovarian cysts as well as other symptoms. On top of that, green tea is also responsible for helping to get rid of excess weight and once again the tea brings down insulin levels so it’s also a pretty good beverage for diabetics.
