Skin Care Tips For Dry Skin

No matter what type of skin you have; everyone should get into a good skincare routine. And trust me, all you dry skin people out there, I know that the struggle is real. Whether you suffer from a skin condition or just have dry skin, then this article on skin care tips is one you should read.

1. Drink Water.

Hydrating your skin from within is the best thing you can do for your skin. 8-10 glasses of water a day should be consumed; any less then that and your skin is probably screaming out for water. If you don’t like the taste then add in some fruit to make it easier to drink.

2. Find Yourself A Good Hydrating Cream.

There are hundreds of creams that claim to be moisturizing, but finding the right one for you is essential. Make sure all of your creams are alcohol free as they dry out your skin even more. Face oil is a great way to add moisture, but sometimes they can be too thick and not let your skin breathe. Swapping and trying news ones is a great way to find what suits you!

3. Eat Healthy.

Getting in your fruits and vegetables is going to give your body all the vitamins and minerals it needs to be healthy. It is recommended that you eat 5 portions a day, and of course you can exceed this. Vitamin C is the best to help skin; foods like oranges, blueberries, kiwi and sweet potatoes are full of it.

4. See A Dermatologist.

They are able to diagnose any skin complaint. If you have tried everything and nothing is working then a dermatologist is probably the next step. You can go through your NHS or a private doctor.

5. Get Into A Good Skincare Routine.

Having a good routine is essential for taking care of your skin. First off, take off any makeup (if you wear it). Wash your face with a face wash, a hydrating one that does not contain alcohol is perfect. Next, exfoliating is a great way to get rid of the build-up on the skin. If you have sensitive skin then a gentle exfoliate is best. Next is to cleanse; oil based cleansers are really great and won’t strip your skin of any moisture. Finally, moisturize to put all the moisture back into the skin. This step is essential if you have dry skin; a heavy duty one might not necessarily do the job. You just have to find one that works best with your skin!
