15 Signs You Went To Falmouth University
Here are 15 distinguishable signs that prove you went to Falmouth University.
1. You told everyone about how green your campus was.
We have one awards you know! You always felt like it made your campus better than others, we had lush greenery after all.
2. Cod On The Corner was the BEST thing.
At 3 o’clock in the morning, any other time it was rank. Every knows Harbour Lights is superior.
3. The beauty that is Club I.
If you could smell it you were not drunk enough! And those sticky carpets and small toilet cubicles made it so much worse.
4. So many nights were spent on Gylly beach.
Sometimes swimming in the sea, sometimes bbq and sometimes getting smashed around a fire.
5. You attempted Jacobs Ladder once.
You were probably drunk coming out of spoons, you will never do it again.
6. The obsession with avocados.
When you left Falmouth you realised that not everyone is as passionate about avocados as Falmouth students.
7. The Exeter rivalry.
Sharing a campus is hard, they thought we were all avocado hugging hippies and we thought they were a load of posh rich kids. The truth is everyone was a little bit Falmouth and a little bit Exeter
8. Not being a vegan and feeling very unfalmouth.
Everyone but you a vegan. You tried to go vegan once, then changed to vegetarian but the call of The Meat Counter burgers was too strong.
9. Mondays and Wednesdays were spent at the Stannary.
Monday night open mic night were the best to have a sing a long and Wednesdays were all about trying to win at the quiz (although you never actually won).
10. The Stannary ringing the bell for the last bus into town at the weekend.
Then everyone getting up and legging it to the bus stop, so not to miss out on a pitcher in spoons before a sticky night in Club I.
11. Constantly having to have a pound coin on you for the bus into town.
And if you didn’t have a pound coin you always got the look of shame from the bus driver as he gave you change for a tenner, or you got a ticket which lasted you multiple journeys.
12. You always liked to drop into conversation about how Falmouth was the number 1 arts uni.
And your course was always the headline course for the uni, no matter what your friends said.
13. The Stannary Parties.
They were either the best nights out or the worst, the free food and photo-booth was always amazing, then the DJ wouldn’t stick to the theme and would ruin the night for you, with the music you could have got for a fiver in town.
14. The locals hated you.
The locals always hated you. We took up too much space. God forbid you went into a local pub, they would stare daggers at you the whole time.
15. You had the best time of your life in that little town.
Falmouth will always be home no matter where you go, and you will always remember the great times you had at uni.
