We are very fortunate at Southampton Solent as we have a great choice of different food outlets within the university itself. From a café, a bar, a Starbucks as well as the food court which offers fry ups, salads, ice cream and burgers to name a few. You can be sure to find something to satisfy your hunger.
Clubbing is a big deal:
Fortunately, in Southampton, there are a good number of clubs to choose from. From low key bars with cocktails to big clubs with events. You will definitely not be short of choices and can tick off clubbing as part of your university experience if this is something that interests you.
You can shop until you drop:
Unlike most universities where you may have to get a bus to town, we are fortunately based in the heart of the city. This may be a great convenience as it saves a lot of time and travel expenses, but it isn’t great if you are tempted for a shop in-between your lectures!
The amazing location:
Fortunately, Southampton Solent is in a good central location in the UK to travel to London or Brighton for example without much hassle. Travel networks in Southampton are excellent. If you went to a university at the other end of the country getting around would not be so easy and convenient.
Dogs for the win:
On occasion, the university have offered dog petting afternoons to relieve stress. What is not to love for an excuse to pet a cute puppy. If this doesn’t make it the best university then I don’t know what will!
Sport is a big deal:
If Solent are good at one thing, it is succeeding in the sport sector. Solent has a number of facilities at the university including a fitness centre, a sport centre a climbing wall and squash courts to name a few!
The amazing location:
Building upon location, Southampton Solent is great as it is based centrally in the city. It has a theatre, museums, a few shopping centres, cinemas, the St Mary’s football stadium as well as being close to the sea, with lots of green space for university students to relax on. It really has so much to offer!
The creative power:
Solent is also great because of all the creative people that attend this university. From film editors, makeup artists, photographers and more, it is simple to collaborate and build your portfolio. Another bonus of Southampton Solent university is the encouragement to enterprise. There is funding and support available from the university to make your dreams a reality.
