10 Positive Ways To Start The Day Off Right Every Time

Mornings can either be wonderful and exciting or a horrible fate for everyone. I believe however that it is up to us to make the most out of our mornings and to make sure they go as positively and smoothly as we can make them. Here are some positive ways to start the day!

1. One way we can do this is by sorting out our routine.

If we are waking up around the same time every morning, our body will get used to it and wake up a lot more refreshed and easily over time. Plan your days, aim to wake up at the same time every day and let yourself adjust to it.

2. Have something to look forward to.

Having a goal set for the next day or just an activity or event to look forward to can really make you excited to get up in the morning. Even if it is something small like your favourite tea or a delivery coming, look forward to it! This will make you wake up feeling energetic and you’ll probably get out of bed faster knowing something good is going to happen! This is one of the positive ways to start the day!

3. Stretch

Stretching is great for a more positive morning. Trust me there is just something wonderful about that big long stretch you do in the morning until you literally can’t stretch any further.

4. Positive mind

I love to start my mornings looking for positivity. Making the intention to start my day happily and with a positive mind really makes my mornings better! I know pretty much everyone wakes up and goes on their phone so whilst you do this search for some positive quotes to get your thoughts on the right track and to make you feel happy. It makes a big difference! This is one of the positive ways to start the day!

5. Breakfast

The most important meal of the day so definitely do not miss it. This meal will prepare you for the day and get you energised so make sure it’s filled with goodness. (Nutella is goodness right?)

6. A cold shower???

I know, this doesn’t sound positive, in fact you probably think its the worst idea you have ever heard. Well don’t be so quick to judge. The first couple of cold morning showers won’t be enjoyable but as time goes on and you get used to it, it is proven to improve your mood, make you feel energised and is a ‘healthier’ way to wake your body up. (Yes, this means healthier than that cup of coffee you know you want!) This is one of the positive ways to start the day!

7. Don’t rush

Make sure you set your alarm so you don’t have to rush to get ready for the day. Being able to take your time when waking up and getting ready will definitely make your mornings a lot more positive and something to actually look forward to.  I love waking up when the rest of the house is quiet and going down to make that first cup of tea and just taking in the calm before the storm!

8. Get enough sleep in

Don’t expect to have two hours of sleep and then have a positive morning. You need to make sure you are getting into bed on time and sleeping enough. A positive morning comes hand in hand with a positive nights sleep. Make sure you are getting in the hours your body needs to recharge and rest. This is one of the positive ways to start the day!

9. Be productive

Getting tasks done in the morning is a good way to make it feel more positive. This is because you feel accomplished and productive knowing you aren’t wasting the day away. Sure, down time is good too but try see what small tasks you can get out of your way in the morning so you can focus on the other important stuff.

10. Be grateful.

Wake up feeling grateful and remembering why you are here on this earth. Be thankful for another day and feel blessed to be alive. Gratitude is a great way to begin your day and can definitely turn your morning around!
