How many times have we been out and about, in a lecture, or at the gym, and realised that we’ve forgotten an essential? Too many times, that’s how many. There’s nothing more frustrating than needing to tie your hair up when you’ve forgotten a bobble or slides, having to top up your make up when you haven’t packed your concealer, and losing an acrylic and not being able to reapply it until you get back home at the end of the day. That’s why we’ve come up with a list of must-have beauty and fashion accessories to keep in your handbag at all times. You’re welcome.
One of the number one essentials we keep in our bags at all time is a selection of makeup minis. Now, don’t panic. This isn’t gonna take a huge slice of your bank account. You just need cheap minis of the makeup you’ll have to top up throughout the day, aka concealer, mascara, powder. That way, you’ll be able to top up your face whenever you need, without having to take your more expensive products out the house and risk losing them.

Yes, we know, you can use the camera on your phone, even the one on your laptop if needs be; but you should never underestimate the importance of a good compact. Whether your phone camera’s dirty, or you just can’t get the angle right, these little beauties are a just-in-case must-have.

Ok so it might be a slightly vulgar name, but what else d’you want us to call it? Breast adhesive? Whatever you call it, this little wonder is an essential, no doubt about it. Although probably more of a night out essential, it’s 100% the kinda thing you wanna have on hand, because nothing solves a fashion disaster like a bit of tape to keep your top, or dress, or bra up and in place until you get home. Trust us.

Along the same vein, nipple covers are a good thing to have around, mainly for if you want to wear a top without a bra on a night out you can just whip them out of your bag, but also if you have that nightmare moment when you wear a new outfit out for the first time and realise the top half is to some degree see-through. Yikes.

You never know what you’re gonna need when you’re out and about, so we would recommend a little of everything: a mini Hairbrush, slides, a scrunchie, a couple of grip jaw clips, some hair bobbles or hair ties, and a stretchy headband. What can we say? It’s good to be prepared.

Obviously, this only applies if you wear falsies, but if you do, bringing emergency adhesive is essential. You don’t want a lash to start peeling off halfway through the day and not be able to do anything about it.

Basically the same thing, you don’t want half a set of nails by hometime.

Whether you have naturally dry skin or not, a little pot of moisturiser is always a good thing to have, to keep your hands super soft all day long.
With winter fast approaching, it’s always good to have some lip balm about to stop your lips from chapping. And some lip gloss to keep them nice and shiny.

For those pesky hangnails, and a nice clear if your polish starts to chip through the day.

Because especially with the unpredictable British weather, you never know when you’ll need to get your sunnies out.

These are always good things to have around, to keep you fresh whether it’s post-gym or just a particularly warm day.
