As summer has burst through our doors like a bull in china shop this past week, we are all in absolute manic trying to dig our old shabby summers clothes from the back of our wardrobes. But plot-twist, our old shabby clothes can have their spotlight once again as the 90’s-denim-wedge trend has made a come back… and we’re very very happy about it! Sticking and following trends can be difficult, but going back to an old-but-goody trend is something I am sure we are all not mad about. Here are some of our favourite blue denim wedge shoes we need this summer!
These denim canvas espadrille style wedges are giving us serious 90’s vibes right now! For all you 70’s, 80’s and 90’s babies out there I am sure you are all squealing in your seats. These are a higher-end platform that would absolutely rock a floral dress or cute frill shorts and a dainty top. With the flattering ankle wrap around it accentuates the length of the leg making you look that extra bit taller – who wouldn’t want that? If you’re jetting off on a remote holiday destination (lucky you) or heading to brunch, these blue denim wedge shoes will make all you’re friends style-envious this summer.
Debenhams is pulling through with the shoe game this summer! Providing the most beautiful deep-cork-coloured platform gives us major night-out holiday vibes; accompanied by a light wash blue denim with embellishment and a brass buckle. A mix between Coachella and ultra-chić is something we will all be going crazy for for our summer vacation. The heel provides 3.6 inches, allowing comfort but effortless style.
Forget sliders, chunky heels and trainers this summer. Bringing back a trend we knew we would see again has got us all overexcited. These 90’s style wedges are a much more high-end looking style shoe. With a suede denim-looking strap, and a light bamboo tree coloured wedge, complemented with a larger rounded gold buckle is something we can see all our favourite Instagram girls rocking. With a cream visible stitch, peep-toe feature with an open heal is a more sturdy shoe – perfect for walking around in with a cocktail or shopping bags in tow!
Who remembers going to Clarks with your mum and seeing all styles of wedges in every colour, shape and style? Well, Clarks have thrown it way back bringing out these beautiful striped blue denim wedge. Having a lower platform means they will be perfect for those summer day walks, with major comfort. Open toed and heel meaning are feet can stay cool while looking cool.
Remember the Toms hype? Well, it’s back – bigger and better! These super stylist laid-back wedge would be perf paired with a beautiful white summer dress, or our favourite denim shorts and crop top. The wedge made up of traditional cork sole is complemented by a dark denim back strap and brass buckle, while the front toe strap is a retro 90s-style tie-dye print. Your inner child will be jumping with joy. These have a slightly higher heel to give more of a fancier-vibe to our outfit.
These drop-dead-gorgeous wedges are just fab. Sporting the traditional cork sole they have mixed things up and brought the wedge-game to a whole new level… embroidery. Over the past year we have seen the plummet in embroided garments, accessories and shoes. But 90’s blue denim wedge shoes with embroidery? Yes, please. With a peep-toe and slide-on style slipper wedge, the embroidery is accompanied with brass-coloured studs.
