Our 10 Favourite Balayage Hairstyles

Balayage is a tried and tested method for dyeing your hair without having to do too much upkeep. It is the perfect hair style for busy women who don’t have time for an appointment with their stylist every five minutes, but still want a bit of a lift. These are our favourite variations of balayage hairstyles!

1. The Classic.

Everyone loves a classic! This colour combination is absolutely stunning, the dark roots fading into caramel hair, which gives an effortless feel that still makes you look amazing. This is one of the classic balayage hairstyles that you can’t go wrong with!

2. Subtly Sultry.

Inserting toffee highlights into already dark hair can create a gorgeous lift in your colour without being too ‘in your face’. A great choice if you really want low maintenance as there is little to no upkeep as it grows out.

3. New Twist On An Old Classic.

This look provides a subtler progression from the first whilst still looking amazing. Having the initial colour longer to start allows more wiggle room in the time you allow it to grow out, because it is totally meant to look like that! This means if your life keeps you way too busy to spend 3 hours in the salon every three weeks its not going to matter.

4. Volcanic Ash.

A beautiful progression that suits all skin colours. This cool toned variation is a great choice as we head in to summer months. It will go with all summery clothes as it’s such a neutral choice.

5. Complete Colour Drain.

A very dramatic tonal shift might be just what you need. This style is absolutely breathtaking. Although a pain to achieve through the sheer amount of bleach that would be needed on dark hair, the pay off is more than worth it.

6. Cooling Lava.

Use this fiery look to command attention. The red in to ginger creates great dimension in this spectacular combination.

The next few colours don’t follow the typical ‘low maintenance’ aspects of balayage but the colour combinations were too gorgeous to resit.

7. Romantic Rosé.

Adding a rose gold accent in to your style will guarantee to brighten up your look. Pink is definitely going to be big again this spring and summer, and tying it in with a caramel like this would create a subtle but cute colour combo as the intensity fades.

8. Lilac Lovely.

Another great choice for this spring, a purple addition will definitely pick up your hair and give you the revamp you are looking for.

9. Feeling Blue?

If you are mourning the loss of the cold winter nights cuddled up in your duvet, this icy balayage is ideal for you. A wintery look to help you hold on as the sweaty summer heat hits.

10. Emerald Envy.

Your mates will be ‘Green with envy’ when they see you with this beautiful look adding an unexpected colour to your everyday look.
