“And you’re screaming give it to me baby / Give it to me mother******.” Yes, I did just use a line from Bruno Mars’ hit song ‘Gorilla’ to open this article. Gorilla is all about getting hot and heavy under the bed sheets animal style; the sex Bruno Mars is singing about is intense, passionate and most importantly, it is VOCAL. The singer seems to become more aroused and satisfied the louder his sexual partner becomes in response to his performance. So this tells us that it is okay to be loud during sex. I am not referring to the over dramatic exclamations of pure ecstasy featured in porn where a man only has to look at a woman to have her howling all over the place. No, instead I am talking about vocalising your pleasure in the bedroom – something that many people admit they are too embarrassed or scared to do. But don’t worry, below is a list to reassure you why it is okay to be loud during sex:
I don’t know what positions you are into, but picture this: your partner is on top and all they see is you staring up at them, expressionless as they do their thing. This is weird. Sex is the ultimate physical expression of your emotions and another form of communication between two bodies. Therefore, some literal communication is completely natural – otherwise your partner will feel like they are in bed with a robot.
Naturally, the volume of sighs or words will become louder as you become more aroused and in response to something you find extremely pleasurable. As well as physical signs that show your partner that you can’t control yourself such as writhing, the type of sounds you make are all indicators that your partner is doing a good job. Being loud during sex will help your partner relax and enjoy the sex more as they will be less self-conscious about their abilities. So basically, if your partner is triggering a whole orchestra of sounds from you, it will be a huge ego boost for them!
No partner is a sex god or goddess. Or a mind reader for that matter. The only way they will know what you like (as mentioned in the point above), or what you don’t like, is if you tell them. It is okay to be loud during sex for selfish reasons, you can vocalise what feels good for you and help your partner learn what will help you orgasm faster and also stronger.
I’m not going to delve into fifty shades too much (or my own sex life for that matter) but it is good to take control in the bedroom. If you often let your partner take control and be the more dominant lover, this is fine but after a while it can be boring. It’s okay to be loud during sex because you can tell your partner exactly what to do to you and boss them around and who can resist being controlled a bit? Also being loud comes into dirty talk, if you are openly vocal about what you are going to do to your partner, it will turn them on even more – especially during foreplay, so that by the time you come to having sex, they won’t be able to contain themselves!
Being loud during sex is a sign of confidence. When new partners first start having sex they might be a bit timid around each other and a bit more restrained. However, it’s okay to be loud during sex as it’s a sign that you are letting all of your inhibitions go. This in turn will make you more adventurous and freaky in the bedroom – and who doesn’t love a spicy sex life?
