The 12 Most Refreshing Cocktails To Drink In The Summer

The heat wave is around the corner so it’s highly recommended to stay hydrated at all times. So why not help beat the heat with some refreshing cocktails this summer. Weather you’re going for a homemade one or chilling out with your friends, there are some really good cocktails that are worth a try. Fruit infused seem to be the absolute much-loved. Here are 12 refreshing cocktails for summer 2018 and how to prepare them. And please, drink responsibly.

1. Margaritas

Margaritas are generally made of tequila, orange liquor and lime juice. Some versions are garnished with salt and a slice of lime. To prepare one at home is very easy, you just need to shake all ingredients together with ice, and voilà, your chilled margarita is served.

2. Watermelon Sangria

All you need for this is a bottle of cold rose wine, vodka, a cup of fresh orange juice, 1/2 cup orange liqueur, sliced watermelon, sliced lime. Don’t forget to shake all together with some ice and  watermelon slices to garnish .

3. Aperol Spritz

Ice, three parts of Prosecco, three parts Aperol, a dash of soda and sliced orange to garnish. Finito! You’re ready to enjoy your spritz.

4. Campari soda

Just swap the Aperol with Campari, add some lime juice and a dash of soda, lime slice, ice and you’re ready to refresh your mouth with a bitter but good alternative of Aperol Spritz

5. Mint Mojito

Who doesn’t love a chilled and refreshing mojito when you’re dripping under good 30+ degrees. This simple cocktail is made with lime, sugar and mint leaves all squish together. Then some crushed ice is added to the mix before pouring in the main ingredient: Bacardi! Delish

6. Blackberry Margaritas

Blackberry margaritas ingredients are: 1 cup of the tequila, 1/4 cup of the triple sec, 1/4 cup of the sugar, and the juice of 1 lime. There are 2 different versions for this cocktail: for the frozen one,  all ingredients are blended together with ice, whiles the traditional one is made with crushed ice shaken together with the rest of ingredients.

7. Iced green tea infused

This cocktail is a good chilled option for those of us who are tea-addicted. As you may understand, sipping a nice hot cup of tea with 25+ degrees is not that thrilling idea. Iced green tea is infused with regular boiling water, then left to cool down at room temperature and then ice is added before drinking. Enjoy!

8. Raspberry peach lemonade

Get some sliced strawberries, some sliced fresh peaches, vodka and lemon juice. Shake all the ingredients together with plenty of ice.

9. Hawaiian mimosas

Hawaiian mimosas have that tropical and refreshing flavour you need to try at least once this summer. Its ingredients are: pineapple juice, coconut rum, champagne or prosecco and guess what,  ice!

10. Strawberry watermelon infused

Watermelons are just the typical fruit of summer! You see watermelon and you know it’s that time of the year again. This simple cocktail is a mix of strawberry juice or fresh strawberries, watermelon slices and ice. You can enjoy it with the add of Prosecco or keep it light as a non-alcoholic drink.

11. Raspberry Prosecco Mojito

For those of us who love those sour flavours with a pinch of sweetness, this is for you. For this cocktail, the raspberries are squished together like you would do with mint leaves for a traditional mojito. Then a dash of sparkling prosecco is added, and finally, lime slices to garnish.

12. Vodka Martini

Last but not least, Vodka Martini, which is basically vodka, with the addition of more vodka and olives on a wooden stick to garnish.
