Makeup Items For When You’re Broke
Being a student who likes buying makeup items and ordering takeaway can be quite tough, especially when you’re stressed out or have no money. But worry not! As usual, I’ve got your back and today we will look at this list of cheap BUT good quality makeup items that will help you survive through your moneyless days and will give you good beauty results! Let’s start:
Revolution Iconic Matte Nude Lipstick
Personally, I am maybe the biggest fan of matte nude lips. It took me quite a while to find a nice, nude lipstick that would fit my face tone so I wouldn’t look like I either a) ate paint or b) am terribly ill. So, the border between nude and ”looking crazy” it quite thin as you know. Revolution’s lipstick is nude, matte, cheap AND good! Judging by its reviews, it’s a good item to buy when in a need and when broke – its price is £3.

Collection Glam Crystals Lip Topper
Now you can copy the look of all those famous models and perfect girls on Instagram!! And it’s cheap! In another article, we already covered the lip glosses topic and had a discussion about the best ones right now. This particular item is slightly different than a lip gloss. It’s a lip topper! You’re meant to put in on top of a pretty lipstick. So far, the reviews say that it’s a lovely overlay for pink lipsticks but could look a bit weird on its own. It’s up to you to decide, nevertheless, it’s £3.99!
Collection Velvet Kiss Lip Cream
Another lipstick that’s rather liquidy than solid. It has a soft, velvet finish and its reviews are more than promising! Although the small lipstick has the unbelievable price of £2.99, it seems to be doing an amazing job and people are loving it!

Barry M Lash Vegas 2 Mascara
I don’t know about you but I can safely say that Barry M has impressed me. Their prices are good, their makeup items are good and just because you spent £2 on a lipstick doesn’t mean you should get a shitty product! Their products are actually quite nice. When in a need of mascara, give them a try. Their Vegas mascara has some really positive reviews, is cheap (£4.99), and does the job! What else could you ask for?

Revolution Pro Brow Pomade
Revolution keeps giving us solutions for those days where all we can afford to eat is noodles. As a person with somewhat thick eyebrows, I’ve never really spent much money on a brow pomade and I don’t really understand why some are so expensive? Sure, you might say that because mine aren’t thin I couldn’t possibly know what it’s like but my eyebrows are shit too sometimes and I can see the difference between a good cheap product and bad cheap product. However, Revolution’s pomade seems to be doing incredibly well amongst customers and its price (£5) is another reason why you SHOULD give it a try!

MUA Shimmer Highlight Powder
It’s an already known fact that you can find some extremely good highlighters out there that don’t necessarily have to carry the price tag of an Anastasia Beverly Hills palette. Truth is, trust me and give this one a try! I bought it myself and can safely say it delivers. It’s only £2.40 and for that price, you’d think there’s a catch. Welll, there is! Make sure you scrape the top layer of the highlighter with a brush or something because due to its top coat it doesn’t give good results. For some reason, MUA thought to coat it in… something? However, don’t worry at all because once you remove it with your brush you can enjoy a blinding glow for a long time.
