We all know Bey is a style icon. Her stage outfits are utterly legendary, after all. But what many of us fail to acknowledge is her street style; or, courtside style, to be more specific.
Bey might just be there to watch the game, but the Beyhive always has their eyes on her, and she never fails to turn a damn look. Proof that Beyonce kills it at both the Met Gala and on a casual night out is here – just see below.
Outfits made up of a single colour in different shades are one of the ‘it’ things at the moment, and Bey shows us all how to do it right.
This outfit was a cute, lil’ skirt with matching top, and a gorgeous tan coat over top. As Beyonce outfits go, it’s pretty simple – but simple is what she does best. And while ‘Twitter’ might be preoccupied with the woman leaning over Beyonce to speak to Jay-Z, we cropped her out lest we take the focus from Bey’s killer outfit.
This catsuit is totally, unequivocally a pivotal Beyonce outfit. Especially in terms of courtside looks.
It’s slightly sheer, and covered in bold red moons – it’s quirky and it’s sexy and we love that the catsuit even extends into socks, which are covered by barely-there heels.
Compared Jay-Z in his hoodie, Beyonce is a whole world above.
While Americans might wear full-camo in order to kill for sport, Beyonce lifts this campy fabric from the depths of hell and shows us how to wear it right.
By pairing the oversized camo coat with a cool and casual pair of jeans and a white tee, she adds that old-school glam (à la ‘Crazy In Love’) to the look. But what really pulls it together is those utterly gorgeous heels – a sparkly green, yes, but with something intrinsically sportswear about them.
This look is the perfect mix of glam and courtside.
Perhaps what makes this look even cuter is little Blue Ivy holding her hand – but the outfit on its own is enough to make the list.
The pop of red on the kimono is a little pizzazz to a cool-toned print. It also tops off a more scaled-down jeans and tee combo, and the little touches just add more layers to it. Like the earrings, the fur trim, and the fan in hand – we so wish we could throw together a look like this.
What is there to say about this? The blue of this courtside Beyonce outfit is eye-catching, to say the least. That, combined with the power suit cut of her outfit had us all gagged. Even down to her clear heels and peachy lip colour, we can’t fault Bey on anything with this outfit.
In contrast to Jay-Z, when Bey does decide to rock a hoodie, damn does she rock it. Pairing this common (and comfy) fashion item with that phenomenal skirt dresses up an otherwise plain outfit. The skirt itself is a work of art, super glamorous, but also matches the hoodie in the comfy department. All together, a killer Beyonce outfit.
This look is one of the most dressed-down courtside outfits we’ve seen from Bey, but that doesn’t mean it’s bad. In fact, we kinda dig it. A lot.
The hat is was mostly serves us that look. She’s not wearing for any other purpose than fashion – because she’s inside, duh – and it totally gives us some major ‘Lemonade’ vibes. Those small touches to a jeans-and-tee look prove that Bey knows how to deliver in even the simplest of outfits.
It’s Bey at her cutest. This beanie really is so ultra campy and cute, it had to make the list. It’s also completely at odds with the grungy vibe the rest of her outfit embodies. From the flannel layers to the chunky, black boots, the mix of cutesy and garage band punk gives us a Bey we don’t see often but we wouldn’t complain if we did.
