The 10 Most Instagrammable Pastries In London
Everybody loves pastries and everybody loves Instagram, so why not combine the two? We’ve tracked down the ten places that serve the most Instagrammable pastries in London for your eating and posting pleasure. Be sure to tag Society19 UK in your Instagram post if you go to any of the places below!
1. Dominique Ansel Bakery
Dominique Ansel is the French chef who brought cronuts (the doughnut and croissant hybrid) across the pond from America. As well as the infamous cronut, Dominique Ansel Bakery offers afternoon tea on their gorgeous garden terrace. If a cronut on a garden terrace isn’t the ideal Instagram post, I don’t know what is.
2. Comptoir Gourmand
Comptoir Gourmand is an artisan patisserie run by a French family. They are so good that they supply pastries to Harvey Nichols! As well as pastries, they offer giant cookies baked daily, excellent coffee and beautiful macarons.
3. Fabrique
Fabrique, a Swedish bakery, has four locations in London: Covent Garden, Hoxton, Notting Hill and Fitzrovia. Enjoy a traditional Swedish ‘fika’ (coffee break) with one of their buttery cinnamon buns or crumbly pastries. The best Instagrammable pastries for any Scandimaniacs in London!
4. Lily Vanili
The Lily Vanili bakery grew out of baker Lily Jones’ celebrity fanbase, who loved her experimental dessert designs (roadkill cake anyone?). Now she has a bakery with some of the most creative offerings in London – perfect for an Instagram shot!
5. Kova
You may not associate Japanese food with pastries, but Kova is here to show you that they’re a match made in heaven. Kova serves tarts, cupcakes and matcha tea, but the most Instagrammable items on the menu are their mille crepes, which come in chocolate, coconut, matcha or vanilla.
6. Maitre Choux
Maitre Choux brings colour and glitter to delicate choux pastry to create amazing pastries that will stand out on your Instagram page and taste delicious. Even better, they deliver ‘choux boxes’Â where choux pastries are nestled amongst beautiful flowers. An Instagrammer’s dream!
7. Nordic Bakery
There’s something about Scandinavian pastries that is extremely photogenic, so here is another Scandi bakery! Nordic Bakery boasts the most delicious cinnamon buns in London and they even have a Cinnamon Bun Week in October. Enjoy one in their calm, sleek cafes in Soho, Marylebone or Baker Street.
8. Maison Bertaux
Maison Bertaux is the oldest patisserie in London and once you’ve tasted their wares, you’ll be able to see why they’ve thrived for so long! It has been serving up fresh pastries in Soho since 1871, including delectable tarts filled with seasonal fruit.
9. Lanka
Lanka blends British and French influences to create gorgeous pastries. They are also in partnership with the Euphoria Tea Emporium in Sri Lanka, so they serve floral and ceylon teas alongside their Instagrammable pastries.
10. Belle Epoque
Probably the most luxurious bakery on this list, Belle Epoque is artistic patisserie at its finest. Enjoy pastries from their seasonal ‘collections’ that look like works of art. You need to get these pastries on your Instagram!
