10 Instagram Spots In London For Your Next Photoshoot
London is a treasure trove filled with so many places, secret locations and hidden gems to explore and discover. Rather than heading out to the main touristy locations here’s a selection of creative cafes and restaurants and unique streets to take your Instagram game to the next level. Here’s a list of perfect Instagram spots for your next photo shoot.
1. EL&N Café
Otherwise known as Élan, these cafes are located at Park Lane and Brompton Road. Known for their pretty in pink decor, the cafe’s interior is filled with rose covered walls, hearts, unicorns and quotes lit up in neon lights. If you’re feeling the floral vibe, head down to Élan for a photo shoot – and for some coffee and cakes.
2. God’s Own Junkyard
God’s Own Junkyard is an art gallery and store that features neon lights, lightbulb signs and other eclectic pieces. The art gallery is located in Walthamstow, which is north-east of central London, so definitely consider the trek and journey time when visiting this location. That being said, with its unique pieces and lights, it’s well worth the travel. The colours, lighting and atmosphere will make for an amazing Instagram photo.
3. Dalloway Terrace
Dalloway Terrace is a restaurant at the Bloomsbury Hotel in Fitzrovia. It’s elegant, charming and comes with a miniature garden, the perfect backdrop to a special dinner or event. Right now the shrubbery gives a winter wonderland feel and changes to match the season. In spring the walls are dotted with blooming flowers, the leaves are a richer green in summer and in autumn the plants take on all shades of oranges and browns. The restaurant is a popular spot, so make sure to book a reservation!
4. Tonight Josephine
This cocktail bar can be found just outside Waterloo station. The interior is a mix of pink and green neon lights that add a futuristic touch to the environment. Neon quotes and signs can be found around the bar, but the visitor favourite is by far the “Well behaved women don’t make history” sign, complete with its own wall. Tonight Josephine is the perfect place for a girls night out and a great opportunity for you and your girlfriends to snap some pics.
5. Sky Garden
At the top of 20 Fenchurch street’s skyscraper, you’ll find Sky Garden, a top-floor restaurant and roof deck with a perfect view of the city. As the name suggests, the interior is complete with a garden, the perfect backdrop to your latest Instagram post. You can pose with the flora, or go right up next to the windows for an amazing city backdrop. There are also two restaurants and multiple bars which gives you something to do making the visit worthwhile. Entry to Sky Garden is free but space can be limited so make sure to book your visit in advance on the website.
6. Coppa Club
Coppa Club has five restaurants in total but the Tower Bridge branch is a favourite for its “winter igloo” domes that are dotted along the river. With fluffy blankets and sheepskin rugs, this cosy spot supplying food and drink also gives you a great view of the Thameside skyline. It’s definitely unique and will be a great addition to your Instagram feed.
7. Sketch
Sketch is a modern European restaurant in Mayfair, famous for its afternoon tea and pink decor – but it’s pricey. Pricey to the point that it has four pound signs when you look it up on google. That being said, one trip isn’t going to destroy your bank account. It’s probably better to save Sketch for an important occasion like a birthday, anniversary or any other event where you’ll be slightly more comfortable spending £50 on afternoon tea. And if you have the money to spend then go for the experience. Aside from the food, Sketch is all about the experience and atmosphere, from its quirky rose interior to the space-like bathroom with individual egg-pods and a rainbow ceiling.
8. Peggy Porschen
Peggy Porschen is a chic bakery dedicated mainly to cupcakes and cakes. Found in Belgravia, the cupcake shop is unmissable. It’s a bright pink shop on a street corner, often decorated with flowers outside. The interior is cute but the exterior is a real show stopper with people often posing outside for pictures. Still, make sure to try the cakes while you’re there.
9. Leadenhall Market
Leadenhall Market is a covered market located on Gracechurch Street. Its a historical, Victorian marketplace with stores, restaurants and bars, giving you plenty to do on a day out. You can take pictures outside the shops or simply appreciate the architecture of the place. Fun fact: It was used as Diagon Alley in Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone.
10. Notting Hill
Notting Hill is a neighbourhood in London known for its casual cafes, markets with antique and vintage fashion, and more notably its pastel and colourful homes. This neighboorhood serves as the perfect backdrop to an Instagram photo, especially if you coordinate your outfit to match or contrast the range of colours. It’s perfect for a spring or summer photo shoot and the colours will bring your feed to life.
