University takes up to three years or more of your life, depending on what you’re studying of course. Use the resources that you are provided with to their full potential so you get the most out of your time there. You never know when you are going to need the help of someone. University allows you to come into contact with a variety of different people who may have connections to people in the industries that you need experience in. Be nice to everyone because you never know when you’re going to need somebody’s help.

Be curious and find out the resources that your university has to offer and utilise them. You are only there for a short time and as a student, most of the resources are free to you.
Depending on what you are interested in there are plenty of student led platforms that are always looking for new talent and contributions to their platform in order to aid growth. This will look good on your CV and will also allow you to create a portfolio of work for yourself which you can then showcase and say you have experience.
Don’t hide in the background, put yourself forward and build rapport with lecturers and people around you. Your lecturers are still creating content themselves and if they see that you are enthusiastic they may put you forward for certain experiences which will be beneficial to your education.
Societies are great ways to get involved in activities that you enjoy partaking in and furthermore meeting other people who have common interests as you. Perfect for networking and making friends plus doing something you love.
