If you have a major sweet tooth and sometimes need to cure your craving late at night, here is how to make ice cream at home in 5 simple steps!

Ever want ice cream in a pinch? Sometimes the ice cream cravings come on with no warning, but don’t fret, it’s actually super simple to make at home. With only two ingredients and no need for an ice cream maker, there’s nothing stopping you from making your fave dessert at home. The best part is that it tastes f*cking amazing! So, here is how to make ice cream at home!

1. Gather your ingredients

To make a basic vanilla ice cream, you will need heavy whipping cream and sweetened condensed milk. If you plan to add any flavours, then you’ll need to gather the ingredients for these too! For example, you may want to add in fresh fruit, Oreo cookie pieces, or marshmallows and sprinkles.

2. Whip your cream

Use a stand or hand mixer to whip your heavy cream until it is quite firm and soft peaks form. You may wish to add a tablespoon of sugar or some vanilla extract depending on how sweet you want your mixture to be.

3. Add your cold condensed milk

It’s important that your sweetened condensed milk is cold for this recipe, so make sure to keep it in the fridge beforehand! Add your condensed milk to your whipped cream, then whisk it together until the mixture is combined and stiff peaks form in the cream. You can also opt for a caramel flavoured condensed milk to give your ice cream base a different flavour.

4. Mix in your toppings/flavours

Once you have the base mixture ready, now is your chance to add in your toppings and flavours. You can achieve any flavour you want using syrups, flavourings and sweets. Some easy flavours to make would be Oreo cookies and cream, birthday cake (using sprinkles and cake bits), and strawberry cheese cake (using fresh strawberries and bits of cream cheese).

5. Freeze your mixture

Transfer your ice cream mixture to a metal or airtight container and freeze it for at least 6 hours. For best results, it’s best to freeze the mixture overnight. Once frozen, your ice cream will last for up to 6 weeks!
