Summer’s coming and blondes back in! But some of us don’t have time to go to the hairdressers or just don’t like putting chemicals like bleach on our heads. So, these are the best methods on how to get natural highlights for your hair!
Lemon juice is the go to for most girls, diluted half and half with distilled water it will lighten dark blonde or light brown hair without leaving your hair brassy. It’s a great, easy, and cheap alternative to bleach!
To get soft luscious hair as well as highlights, honey and olive oil create a great hair mask. To get the best effects warm a ¼ cup of honey and add a ¼ cup olive oil. Apply the mask to your hair where you want the highlights and leave on for 30-60 minutes, it will come out looking lighter and softer than ever!
Pouring extremely strong chamomile tea over your hair is another great way to give your hair a natural looking lift! Put four tea bags in to brew for twenty minutes, add three teaspoons of natural yoghurt, and apply the mask to your hair.
Many people have sworn by vodka as a lightening agent. Infuse vodka with lemon for a week, then pour it in to a spray bottle with two seltzer tablets and apply to your hair where you want the highlights. The bonus to this one is that while you wait you can drink the lemon vodka over a little ice.
These are all great and cheap methods to lighten your hair, bear in mind some of these methods will need more than one treatment. Look forward to looking great this summer once you’ve given these methods a go! You’ll be the envy of all of your mates after the great highlighting lift you get from these treatments.
