10 Horrible Fashion Trends Which Have To Be Deleted From Our Memory

Fashion is full of horrible trends and bad style choices. Have a laugh checking out this list of the most hilarious fashion disasters of the past!

Who has never happened to look old pictures and think “what the hell I was wearing”? Horrible trends and questionable haircuts that you just want to forget. Indeed, it’s that the nature of fashion: being prisoned by terrific trends, sadly thinking they were cool, for a short time. Eventually, you will wake up from this nightmare and the only legacy will be tons of embarrassing photos and a wardrobe crowded from awful clothes. Although some trends come back several times because they are just so stylish, for others we are lifted up when they go away and, in the same time, scared about the idea of a possible return. The only thing that we need is resetting our memory!

So, check out this list of horrible trends and fashion disasters. Look at the ugliest outfits that we all wore in the name of fashion!

 1. Baggy Jeans

Trousers worn so low that it was a mystery of the physics of how guys could walk, they were the nightmare of parents and school teachers. “Trendy boys” were passing the majority of their days hiking up their pants. Started in the 90’s, baggy jeans are, unfortunately, still alive. However, the trend has progressed and now the pants are not so low as they used to. Guys, we don’t want to see your boxers, keep them inside please!

2. Rat tails

History is full of hilarious and awful hairstyles. We all had a dark period of life where our hairdos were to the limit of decency. Of all the horrible trends in fact of hair, certainly rat tails are the most unforgivable. How was this random lock of hair on the back of the head supposed to be cool? I want an answer!

3. Overly thin eyebrows

In the early 2000’s, it was a must having the eyebrows so thin that they needed a magnifying glass to understand their start and end. The more fine they were, the better. Honestly, my eyebrows are still recovering from that! Looking at new styles, eyebrows are becoming so full and thick. Probably, in a couple of years, we are going to regret this choice too. When will we reach a balance?

4. The Velour Tracksuit

How can we forget when Paris Hilton and Nicole Richie dictated fashion in their Juicy Velours? Of all the bad sartorial decisions, this was, perhaps, the most painful. Especially when it was matching: it was a real attack to good taste, a torture for our eyes! But, as everything bad, there is always a way for horrible trends getting worst. Indeed, an extra cringe was added from the pairs with big words printed across the butt. Definitely out!

5. Very, Very Low-Rise Jeans

I know everybody was wearing them. Pants so low that we needed a perfect bikini wax for wearing them, not even when we’re going to the beach. Every time we were trying to move, we were scared to show off our pubic area. As soon as we sat down, the person behind us could admire half of our ass and discover which colour was our thong that day. To be honest, my wardrobe was full of these trousers: I loved them with all my heart! However, I’m deeply happy to be free now.

6. Legwarmers

To people who criticise the new fashion style of wearing jeans rigorously with cuffs, I want to remind them one of the most pointless and horrible trends: wearing legwarmers. Spreading during the 80’s as part of aerobics uniform, legwarmers had mysteriously kept their trendy appeal also during the 90’s. I sadly remember girls wearing them on top of trousers or matched with a skirt, the most mini as possible, of course. If you are not going to work out, you should stop wearing them now!

7. Emo Style

Everything about this bleak fashion trend is questionable: hairdos, clothes, make up, depressing vibes. From ridiculously haircut which covered almost all the face: I’m still wondering how it could be possible for emos actually seeing each others! To heavy make ups and super skinny jeans. This is one of the most horrible trends that, sooner or later, I hope to delete from my mind!

8. Jorts

What did pass in the mind of fashion designer when they decided to create this abominable cut of jeans? As everything that tries to stay in the middle, it was a proper fail and disaster. Or short or long, what was this length supposed to mean? Even if now it’s just an unfortunate memory, our souls are still signed from this terrific fashion decision.

9. T-shirts over Long-Sleeve Shirts

Here we go, we have arrived to another nonsense outfit. Thanks to American TV-series like Friends, we were thinking to be so cool wearing T-shirts over long-sleeve shirts. The worst came when fashion designers started to create one piece of shirt with the same effect. The result was horrible shirts that, once you washed them, white sleeves were mixed with the colour of the main part. Odd dirty pinky sleeves as unforgettable nightmare that still infest our old school pictures. Very bad!

10. Platform Trainers

So trendy during the latest 90’s and the start of 2000’s, the ugliness of platform trainers was just surpassed from their impracticality! A sport shoe is supposed to be comfy and functional, is that not true? These awful trainers are, definitely, one of the most terrible trends that our brain is still trying to understand. Absolutely unforgivable!

These were the most horrible trends that my memory is still trying to delete. Do you remember other nasty fashion styles? Let me know in the comments below!
