Autumn is one of the most beautiful seasons and there are plenty of places in the UK, where you can enjoy the foliage in all its glory. Whether you are looking to take a trip to a beautiful place somewhere in the UK, where you can do nothing but relax and enjoy the autumn or you are just looking for places for a picnic/walk, this list will definitely give you an idea of where you can go to view the foliage.

Hyde Park

Located in central London, Hyde Park is beloved by all and it offers some great views of the foliage in autumn. It’s a great place to take a walk or cycle, maybe even rent a boat or have a picnic. There are also great places to eat or have a warm cup of tea or coffee if you are feeling a bit chilly.

Although Hyde Park is somewhat of an obvious choice it definitely doesn’t disappoint when it comes to views. It would be a great place to take pictures of yourself, the foliage or squirrels. Lots of squirrels.  

New Forest National Park

New Forest National Park is a great place to visit all year round, but it’s especially delightful in autumn. There’s a big variety of trees such as ancient oaks, silver birch, and evergreen pines. This makes up for an array of colours which are sure to make for a great view of the foliage. 

From beautiful scenery to free roaming animals, fascinating history to scenic coastline, there’s something for everyone in the New Forest National Park.

Richmond Park is famous for its open spaces, grassland and deer heard. It’s also the perfect place to spot ancient trees and a range of wildflowers. It’s also a great place to view the foliage. Westonbirt, The National Arboretum

Westonbirt, The National Arboretum is a tree garden. This means that the foliage here is amazing, with trees from all over the world. There are about 2,500 species from all over the globe and 5 national tree collections. It’s internationally renowned for its diversity and beauty and it will definitely be one of the best places to view the foliage. 

You also have an opportunity to learn something new on a guided walk around the arboretum. There’s also a cafe, so you don’t have to worry about where to have a warm cup of tea when you are tired of looking at the beautiful foliage. Loch Lomond

Loch Lomond is undoubtedly an amazing place to view the foliage. You can go on a hike, see some amazing views and take great landscape pictures. You can also enjoy cycling and interesting water activities such as boating, paddle-boarding, canoeing, and kayaking. You will definitely have an amazing view of the hills and the foliage from the lake.
