If you’re lucky enough to live in London, you’ll know that Londoners are spoilt for choice when it comes to healthy lunch spots. From gluten-free to vegetarian to healthy “fast-food”, the capital really does have it all! During the summer, it’s great to get out of the office or the house and have your lunch outside when the weather is good. So, we have put together a list of 10 of our favourite healthy lunch spots in London that won’t have you feeling guilty!

1. Ahi Poké

Ahi Poké was born in 2016 after a trip to California. Inspired by the west coast’s relaxed, laid back vibe, the fresh & nutritious raw ingredients, and London’s innovative spirit, Ahi Poké was one of the first places to introduce the traditional Hawaiian dish to London. Their signature bowls include ingredients like ahi tuna, quinoa, salmon and smashed yuzu avocado. Yum! They have locations in Fitzrovia, Victoria, Spitalfields, the City and Fulham.

2. Ethos

Open seven days a week, ETHOS is a pay-by-weight concept that specialises in dishes from around the world, all bursting with flavour and colour. Allergy sufferers and those with special dietary requirements are well catered for with a vast range of gluten free, dairy free and vegan options. There lunch menu has lots of salads and dips on offer. Their only location is on Eastcastle Street, just off Oxford Circus.

3. Natural Kitchen

Natural Kitchen is an ‘All Day’ concept serving delicious freshly prepared, healthy food & hot & cold drinks to enjoy with us in our restaurants & bars or takeaway from our ‘Food to go’ delis. Their veggie burgers are especially good! They have locations in St Katharine Docks, Aldersgate, Angel Court, Baker Street, New Street Square, Marylebone High Street, Trinity Square, Waterloo Station and Tudor Street. This is definitely one of the best healthy lunch spots in London!

4. Detox Kitchen

It is Detox Kitchen’s mission to pack every dish with as much flavour and as many nutrients as possible. Because food should be delicious, food should be enjoyable, food should be nourishing. They focus on creating nutritious, wholesome food using good quality, seasonal ingredients cooked from scratch daily. “This is food you can trust.” They offer lots of juices and smoothies as well as salad bars and fresh stews. They have two locations: Kingly Court and Mortimer Street.

5. Farmacy Kitchen

Farmacy Kitchen has an array of delicious plant-based dishes inspired from around the globe. They support both a vegan and vegetarian diet, free from dairy, refined sugars, additives and chemicals. Their lunch/brunch menu has chocolate chip waffles or protein omelettes – so good! Find Farmacy Kitchen in Westbourne Grove, Notting Hill.

6. Squirrel

Squirrel is an all day fast casual healthy food and drink concept set within such natural surroundings that even a squirrel would feel at home! On their menu is lots of salads, grain bowls, wraps, as well as hot food like jacket potatoes. Their first treehouse is open seven days a week, a short distance from South Kensington tube station.

7. Leon

This chain can be found all across London. Their concept is fast-food that tastes good whilst also being good for you. Their menu is inspired by the flavours, variety and natural healthiness of Mediterranean cooking. They offer healthy twists on everyone’s notoriously unhealthy favourites. They also have student discounts if you have your student ID with you!

8. Wholefoods Market

“It doesn’t matter if you’re a vegan or paleo or omnivore. Maybe you like kale or pizza or mochi, or maybe you value local. That’s cool. No matter what you’re into, Whole Foods Market is the place to find the tastiest, best version of it. Whatever it is.” In most of their locations, they have a deli as well as a taqueria. Whether you’re after a healthy snack or a “ready meal”, Whole Foods has it all! They are based in Clapham Junction, Camden, Kensington, Stoke Newington, Piccadilly Circus, Richmond and Fulham. This is one of the best healthy lunch spots in London because there is so much variety!

9. Mildreds

Fresh and colourful vegan and vegetarian food full of flavour is cooked daily on the premises. They use organic ingredients where possible and endeavour to source small businesses for our supplies. Often surprising and seducing hardened carnivores and with many of our dishes vegan and gluten free mildreds can offer a warm welcome to all. Their summer menu includes dishes like curries, falafel, veggie burgers and unmissable sweet potato fries! They have locations in Camden, Soho, Kings Cross and Dalston.

10. The Good Life Eatery
The Good Life Eatery strives to encourage everyone to eat better, healthier and happier with their all-day options, ranging from cold pressed juices and smoothies, to a delicious all day menu that includes acai bowls and build-your-own avocado toast. They offer delivery or take away options. Their gluten-free chocolate chip cookies can be enjoyed without the guilt! They have locations in Belgravia, St. John’s Wood, Marylebone and Chelsea.
