Unless you’ve been living under a rock, you’ve probably heard of Halo Top Ice Cream. In case you haven’t, Halo Top is a high-protein ice cream that promises to bring all your favourite things about regular ice cream without the guilt. In fact, some people will even swear it’s better than the real thing! Here in the UK we (sadly) only have a few flavours available, so if you want to know what’s worth spending your money on, here’s every single Halo Top ice cream flavour ranked from worst to best.
Apologies to all the vanilla-lovers out there. There’s nothing too bad about this flavour, but it isn’t all that amazing either. While vanilla ice cream is great to pair with other desserts (chocolate lava cake, anyone?) it’s probably not worth shelling out for a pint of plain vanilla.
This is yet another classic flavour brought to you by Halo Top. If you’re already a lover of mint chocolate chip ice creams, then this one will definitely hit the spot. It just doesn’t feel much different from other mint chip options out there.
While chocolate may sound a bit plain, Halo Top manages to make their chocolate ice cream feel totally indulgent and decadent. Definitely go for this if you’re looking for a chocolate fix, as you can finish the whole pint and it will only amount to less than a third of the calories of other ice cream brands!
If you’re a big fan of Ben & Jerry’s peanut butter cup, then this is a good choice for you. This stuff tastes so good, it’s hard to believe that it’s not bad for you. Plus, you really can’t go wrong with the salty-sweet mix of peanut butter and chocolate.
Halo Top’s Salted Caramel ice cream comes in at third place because it is just so good. It doesn’t try to distract you with lots of add-ons and is truly just an honest-to-goodness caramel ice cream with flecks of sea salt. They’ve got the balance of flavours perfected in every pint.
Chocolate chip cookie dough is always a fan favourite because there’s something so nostalgic about biting into chunks of raw cookie dough. If you want a healthier option to some of the classic chocolate chip cookie dough ice creams out there, this is your best bet. This tastes delicious and might even be better than “bad for you” ice creams.
This flavour is just so indulgent that it’s hard to believe that the entire pint is just 360 calories. The brown sugar and cinnamon swirl contrasts so well with the smoothness of the ice cream, plus the cinnamon roll dough pieces are fluffy and melty — just like actual warm cinnamon rolls. This may be one of the highest-calorie options, but it’s a sure winner.
