Live music is one of the best, most fun summer activities, as you can spend time with friends, enjoy some great music and experience a new city! Finding the right place to head to when you’re in need of some good old fashioned live music can sometimes be tricky, but we’re here to help! Live music is great for a day time gig in the sun or a nighttime party in a swanky bar, so here is a guide to the best cities for live music this summer!

1. Central London

London’s live music scene comes brimming with characterful pubs, swinging jazz joints and exotic basement clubs in their dozens. Leave your typical clubbing blueprint at home this weekend and let a live band soundtrack your night out; there are plenty of music pubs and gig venues in London well worth checking out. How could London not appear on this list with the notorious hustle and bustle of life in the south? Bristol is bursting with creative, young, aspiring artists so you are guaranteed to never be short on options here. Glasgow UNESCO City of music is simply mad about all things indie, rock, folk and dance, and of course, it has the bars with live music to match. From famous music venues, to pubs with regular sessions, there’s barely a bar in town that doesn’t indulge in a little live entertainment from time to time.
