15 Gifs That Sum Up Your Reactions To Watching Game Of Thrones
Season eight of Game of Thrones has finally started and we’re ready, if not a little bit apprehensive. The show is no stranger to putting you through your paces and we’ve gone through a lot from beheading to poisoning. Here are some of our reactions portrayed in the wonderful format of GIFs.
(Warning: Spoilers from seasons six, seven, and eight!)
1. Our innocence is now long gone
Knowing that most of the characters are going to die in horrible and gruesome ways because let’s face it, we’ve all learned our lesson from The Red Wedding. We know better than to get attached to them now.
2. Please, just make them stop!
We can all relate to this dragon as we watch Daenerys Targaryen and Jon Snow (or should I say Aegon Targaryen) go in for a snog. We know she’s his aunt now which is just disturbing. Although, we’re no strangers to a spot of incest by this point *ahem* Jamie and Cersei Lannister.
3. Wishing you had a few scary dragons yourself
Feeling slightly jealous watching Daenerys boss the whole Game of Thrones crew around with dragons at her beck and call. Just imagine what you could do with all that confidence!
4. Brienne of Tarth gets knighted and we’re here for it
When Jamie Lannister breaks from tradition and makes Brienne of Tarth’s dream come true by knighting her. We can’t get enough.
5. …And then there’s THAT scene
Watching Arya Stark and Gendry get all hot and steamy is something we were not prepared for. We’ve practically watched Arya grow up in Game of Thrones. We’re not ready for this.
6. He had it coming
We can’t not mention our feeling of undisguised glee when Ramsay Bolton gets killed by his own dogs in season six. It was an act of gruesome revenge but to be honest it befits the worst character.
7. The queen is RUTHLESS
Season seven of Game of Thrones took no prisoners. We all knew Cersei liked her revenge but we weren’t ready when she poisoned Tyene with the same concoction used to kill Myrcella and left the mother to watch her daughter die in a cellar. Intense is an understatement.
8. Getting way too caught up in the dragon’s death
The death of Viserion the dragon was DEVASTATING. Animated or not we couldn’t help but shed a tear.
9. …But then!
The utter shock when Viserion is resurrected as a blue fire breathing zombie White Walker dragon by the Night King. Things just got interesting!
10. The life of the party
Back to season eight and we can’t help noticing Bran Stark putting a sombre mood on things. There’s no such thing as a day off for the Three-Eyed Raven.
11. Lest we forget
…Daenerys, “tactful” as always, telling Samwell Tarly that she burned both his father and brother alive because they ‘would not bend the knee.’ Awkward…
12. we are SO over Euron Greyjoy being a slimeball
Feeling nothing but revulsion when watching Euron Greyjoy creeps all over Cersei. She can do so much better and he can just die already. To put it bluntly.
13. The feeling of foreboding is real
Yes, Grey Worm and Missandei make an adorable couple which means that one of them is probably going to die. Game of Thrones is cruel like that, sorry.
14. Nothing fazes us anymore
We’ve become as numb to violence and death as a White Walker after watching every gory season of Game of Thrones. We can take upcoming battles in our stride now!
15. It’s all a bit emotional
Feeling slightly emotional seeing all the main characters on screen together for the final time. After eight seasons it’s been quite a ride. How will we fill the Game of Thrones shaped hole on our screens?
