These delicious berries are packed full of antioxidants that can decrease blood pressure and dilate blood vessels. The best thing about these berries is that they can go in so many things such as smoothies, muffins, and juices. So you can get your blueberry intake in so many ways.

Grapefruit

This citrus fruit contains high amounts of flavonoids which lowers the risk of ischemic stroke. They also have high amounts of vitamin C which lowers the risk of heart disease. Grapefruits are also a perfect fruit to have with brunch. Who says brunch has to be unhealthy?

Avocado

Now, who doesn’t love avocado on toast? This heart healthy and tasty fruit is rich in the monounsaturated fats that can lower heart disease causing factors such as cholesterol. There are many different ways to have avocado, whether spread over your toast or blended into guac, the possibilities are tasty and endless.

Pomegranate

This sweet fruit is full of healthy heart promoting polyphenols which can help keep your arteries healthy. A regular dose of pomegranate juice has shown to lower blood pressure levels which keeps the heart healthy. Add a sprinkle of them to a salad for that sweet kick.

Oranges

Another citrus fruit which is jam-packed full of vitamins. From vitamin A, B6 and C, it has so many heart healthy factors. A simple glass of orange juice, or a staple in a smoothie, it wouldn’t be difficult to add it to your lifestyle.

This citrus fruit is known for their high vitamin C content which also helps in promoting heart health which can lower blood pressure. Add a couple of slices to your water and enjoy a refreshing healthy drink.
