All Of The Free Exercise London Is Offering This Summer

Boutique fitness classes and gym memberships can be really expensive in London but working out definitely doesn’t have to break the bank! Now that it’s summer why not get fit outside? Or, better yet, find a workout buddy and do it together! There are so many ways to exercise for free in London this summer so why not check out all the options right here. After all, free exercise is the best kind of exercise! Below is the best free exercise London is offering this summer:

London City Runners

London City Runners is the largest running club in London that is completely free – they are open to absolute beginners to seasoned marathon runners. They meet on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 7pm (SE1) as well as Sundays at 11.15am (SE1).

Lululemon Free Yoga Classes

Lululemon offer complimentary yoga classes in their stores, usually on Sunday mornings. When the weather gets better, they move their practice to Hyde Park! Check out their website for more details and how to sign up.

Our Parks

Get fit for free! Our Parks is a initiative that brings free, group exercise classes, led by experienced, fully qualified and insured instructors, to parks near you in partnership with local authorities. Their bootcamp class mixes traditional calisthenic and body weight exercises, with interval and strength training. Find a class near you and sign up online!

Asics

Asics also offer a range of community fitness classes, including yoga and personal training sessions, at their store in London (Oxford Street). Check out the schedule here.

The Transformers 

What sets The Transformers apart from other fitness groups is their experience, knowledge, passion and enthusiasm! Clients become a part of The Transformers family when they come to the classes as everyone is very positive, supportive and encouraging. They also give talks and speeches about health, nutrition, constructive mind programming, motivation at the end of sessions. Search for them on Google and Groupon as their website is currently under maintenance.

Sweaty Betty

“Good things come to those who sweat.” Become a sweaty betty yourself at one of their free in store workouts. For over 10 years, Sweaty Betty has offered over 70 free classes a week from run club to barre classes. Call your local store for their schedule and to sign up!

London Friday Night Skate

London Friday Night Skate (LFNS) and the Sunday Stroll are weekly street skates in central London. The LFNS departs from Wellington Arch at Hyde Park Corner every Friday at 8pm. The Sunday Stroll departs from Serpentine Road in Hyde Park every Sunday at 2pm. They are open to all skaters that are able to stop, turn and control their speed on hills. The Sunday Stroll is more relaxed and slow paced; the LFNS is faster, more technically demanding and may involve hills and sprints. They welcome both inline (‘rollerblade’) and quad (‘roller skate’) skaters! Sounds like a party to us!
