Are you a foodie? Then you’ve come to the right spot. In every city you have those special places that are normally small, quaint and don’t look like much from the outside. But, when you go inside and sit down for a meal, they serve some of the most delicious and well made food that you’ve ever tasted! The actual meal might not really be anything special, it’s just made perfectly. Amazing quality, spot on cooking times and perfect flavour combinations. However, only those willing to go on an adventure of discovery will find these places and be rewarded with this amazing food. This is the ultimate foodie’s guide to Bristol!
Maybe you like the sweeter things in life. If this is the case, you definitely have to visit Sundaes Gelato. Depending on how much of a sweet tooth you have and how much sugar you are physically able to consume in one sitting will determine which sugary treat you choose. If you go for the ice cream cone or cup, you have an enormous ice cream bar of over 30 flavours to choose from. On the other hand, if you feel that’s not enough of a challenge for you, maybe you’d prefer something a bit more filling like a dessert waffle!
Eat a Pitta is a falafel eatery with 2 stores around Bristol city centre. If you are a student in the city you’ve probably seen these before. Maybe you’ve bought something from here in the past, maybe you haven’t? The company is all about clean eating. But this is not the only thing drawing in the crowds. When walking past these stands, the smell of the fresh colourful salads and the cooking of the falafels is enough to make people turn their heads out of curiosity.
So where can you find yourself one of these pitta’s or falafel’s? If you feel you need to properly sit down to enjoy this food, the Eat a Pitta is located on Bristol’s Gloucester Road. On the other hand, want a meal on the go? Visit the Eat a Pitta stand right in the middle of Cabot Circus.
Za Za Bazzar is located right next to Bristol harbourside. It is a very beautiful scene at night. What’s interesting about Za Za’s Bazzar is the size of it and how they’ve made the whole place look like an Asian night market serving foods from all around the globe; Chinese, Thai, Indian, even some English pizza and chips if you really want.
Each stand serves food from a different region in the world and represents a stand at the night market. It’s full of bright neon lights and the “rough around the edges” feel gives it a lot of authenticity.
The second is another *eat as much as you can* buffet called Cosmo. Situated right on top of the hill in Bristol city centre. This is another world food buffet, with a slightly different style. Cosmo has great quality food with very reasonable prices. They have a more relaxed feel than Za Za’s.
Every single one of these spots are delicious and affordable. Now go explore!
