Let’s be honest, when you’re about to run 5km on the treadmill, put yourself through fifty squats, or do some hardcore rowing, we’d all be grateful for the time to pass a little quicker. Whilst I’m not about to offer you a crazy gadget that speeds up time (sadly), I can recommend you some really great podcasts that will at least make it feel like time is passing quicker while you’re hard at work getting that dream bod. Whether you’re looking for a podcast to get you motivated to get fitter and healthier and work harder, or you’re simply looking for a podcast that will take you out of the gym and get you thinking about something else to help the time pass by faster, at least one of these will be ideal for you.
If you’re a very academic person or are currently doign your GCSEs, A Levels or degree, The Wooden Spoon is a great podcast to listen to. Made up of some of the best British Studytubers, The Wood Spoon discusses the ups and downs of education, how to deal with some of the toughest parts of academia, amongst regular struggles for young people in and outside of education. It’s really worth a listen to if you’re either an academia lover or you’re really struggling with academia at the moment.
If you’re someone that likes a podcast that gives you some serious food for thought, Fearne Cotton’s Happy Place podcasts will be right up your street. Every week Fearne pops round to a different celebrity’s house to speak to them about all of the hardships they’ve experienced, how they overcame them, and just about how to generally be a better person and more positive person. The Russell Brand, Zoe Sugg and Chessie King podcasts are particular favourites of mine.
If you’re looking for something more gripping and shocking to really take you out of the gym and place you in a horror story, the Casefile podcasts will certainly do that for you. If you’re someone who likes to read about criminal cases, horrific murders or events, then Casefile will be perfect for you. Covering a new horrific case every week, the Casefile podcasts are something you won’t forget quickly and will certainly have you running on the treadmill to escape the murderers and kidnappers.
If you prefer a conspiracy theory over a shocking murder mystery, Those Conspiracy Guys podcasts will be an ideal listen for you while at the gym. If you enjoy watching YouTube videos on conspiracy theories or if you’ve ever found yourself searching up some conspiracy theories, then Those Conspiracy Guys are definitely worth checking out. Covering a different controversial and shocking conspiracy theory each week, Those Conspiracy Guys podcasts will be sure to have you hooked and completely forgetting that you’re even at the gym.
If you’re struggling with your mental health or just generally feeling a little bit down or in need of a boost in positivity and confidence, A Positive Mind with Positive Vibes podcasts will 100% give you that boost you need. Where better to get your positivity on than when you’re hitting the gym hard? These podcasts will certainly motivate you throughout your sit-ups and squats.
