Imagine living your relationship in the public eye, and being scrutinized at every turn – sounds like a nightmare for anyone right? Well, celebrities date other celebrities and deal with those pressures every day while trying to paint the most unified and loving picture possible on social media, even when that’s far from reality. We all have our favourite celebrity couples that just seem perfect for each other (looking at you Emily Blunt and John Krasinski), but then again there are certain celebrity couples that don’t seem quite right for each other. Nothing lasts forever, and with that in mind, here are 8 famous celebrity couples that we’re predicting breakups for.
1. James Franco & Isabel Pakzad
James Franco and Isabel Pakzad have reportedly only been dating since the start of 2018, and they got off to a rocky start after Franco was marred by allegation of sexual misconduct. Their age gap of 15 years isn’t necessarily a barrier to long-term happiness, but they’re certainly at different stages in their life right now considering Isabel has just completed her Masters at USC and has a passion for travel – will she want the freedom to explore the world? This is definitely one celebrity couple we predict a breakup for.
2. Kylie Jenner & Travis Scott
After Kylie Jenner’s on and off romance with rap artist Tyga, fans were thrilled that April/May 2017 she moved on with old time friend Travis Scott. Then came the secretive nine months until Kylie gave birth to their daughter, Stormi Webster on the 1st Feb 2018. It’s been a whirlwind ride for both of them to say the least, and they’re both still so young, could this intense ride end up being too much for them to handle? Can they keep the passion going even whilst looking after their beautiful new daughter? At heart, Kylie is a Kardashian and we all know their love lives can be anything but smooth – more breakups than hot dinners, anyone? Some famous celebrity couples just don’t work out.
3. Louis Tomlinson & Eleanor Calder
Tomlinson and Calder have been one of those on again/off again celebrity couples since 2011, with a long split from 2015 to 2017, during which he became a father to Freddie Reign after a brief fling. Their relationship now has to contend with far more external obligations than when they first dated in 2011, and with their separate busy schedules taking them all over the globe we question whether or not they’ll be able to retain any semblance of the relationship they once had. Remember, we’re not saying we want them to break up, but we feel there’s just not that great an outlook for this famous celebrity couple – sorry!

The queen of pop has been ultra-secretive about her relationship with relatively unknown actor/model/graduate boyfriend Joe Alwyn – to the point where her friends have even reportedly stated Taylor is ‘hypersensitive’ about the privacy surrounding their relationship. Let’s be honest, you would want privacy BUT will there be mounting pressure as more and more of their relationship inevitably enters the limelight? Let’s also not forget that Taylor’s list of exes is comprised of big names like Harry Styles, Tom Hiddleston, Joe Jonas and Taylor Lautner – Joe Alwyn seems like a break from her usual type of pretty damn famous. Will she get bored? Time will tell.

The father of Kourtney Kardashian’s children and cause of many breakups while the pair were together, Scott Disick (The Lord) has been dating 19-year-old Sofia Richie (daughter of Lionel Richie) since around May 2017. Let’s put it this way, you wouldn’t want your 19-year-old daughter dating Scott Disick, and its reported that Lionel Richie himself thinks their relationship is just a phase his daughter is going through. They certainly seem like an odd pairing when you think Scott is 34 with 3 kids, and Sofia isn’t old enough to legally drink in the USA. Long-term happiness together? Probably not.

We can’t lie, to have our fav Riverdale actors actually take their on-screen romance off-screen to become potentially the most wholesome celebrity couple is more than we deserve. Sprouse and Reinhart have finally confirmed that they have been secretly dating, and have taken it public to much excitement. We’ve got a sinking feeling though, what if reality doesn’t live up to expectation for them? What if real life just isn’t as exciting as Riverdale? What if Cole and Lili aren’t as good together as Betty and Jughead? We’ll wait with baited breath.

The ultimate breakup, makeup duo since 2009 with a few engagement and wedding rumours thrown in sums up Liam Hemsworth and Miley Cyrus nicely. There are speculations that they have already secretly tied the knot in 2018. Those rumours are currently unconfirmed. After their first engagement was called off in 2012, they announced their new engagement in 2016. They have seemed content ever since, however, Miley is known to be weary of Liam’s relationships with female co-stars. She has said she is keen to ‘live a little’ and stay independent. Potentially little cracks can become huge problems for celebrity couples and their relationships.

Jennifer Lopez and Alex Rodriguez had both just gotten out of their previous relationships in 2017 when they got together. Things quickly seemed to fall into place for the two A-listers. But, the relationship has also been marred here and there by allegations of A-Rod being unfaithful. J-Lo has also state that she’s not quite ready for another marriage just yet. It’s still early days for two individuals who have lived entire hectic lives in the public eye to come together in a relationship that will work so effortlessly. We’ll have to wait this one out and see if it leads to a breakup.
Relationships in the non celeb world are hard enough to keep on track, let alone global superstar celebrities getting together and trying to retain a semblance of normality between them.
