Green is, in my opinion, one of the most under-rated colours. It’s always in camo-patterned clothing and rarely in anything else. Women have started to reclaim it for their fashion, but where to find it in men’s coats? I’ll help you there. I think green does all the right things, it’s regal, luxurious, sexy and just a small step up from the standard of navy blue. Here are 8 evergreen men’s coats that will make heads turn.

1. Long-line

Perfect for when it’s not quite warm enough for a spring jacket, these are sure to keep you cosy and work with most outfits. In addition, they make good blankets if someone’s sitting in the back of the car complaining about how cold it is!

Let’s get real for a second, who doesn’t love tweed? It may look dated and remind you of that one teacher from your childhood, but why does that mean it can’t look good? Accessorise it right and you might just look like the smartest in the room. Bonus points if you get a matching waistcoat and trousers.

No-one always wants to look smart, so this one is for the people who don’t want to look to smart for a casual occasion. These jackets are sexy, especially if the rest of your outfit is fairly plain and coupled with a big pair of boots. Bring out your bad boy and everyone will be looking.

In my opinion, corduroy looks way better on a coat than on trousers where you tend to see it a lot. These smouldering dark green numbers just scream ‘mystery’ and also have enough structure to really pull off any look. Wear it with confidence and people will be begging you for style tips. This is one of my favourite men’s coats out of the whole bunch.

We don’t want our nice new coats getting soaking wet now, do we?  Wax coated coats mean that you really do stay dry and also helps with stain prevention and keeping it in the best condition for the longest time possible. You can also re-wax your coats to keep them looking brand new and lasting for a much longer time than a non-waxed coat.

Padded jackets with down or synthetic fibres are amongst the warmest and light-weight you can get. There are also more variations than any coat I have ever seen. Perfect for a winter walk or a hike this can be paired with almost anything and still look great!

Soft and warm if you get the highest quality, this is bound to be one of the treasured pieces of clothing. This will definitely not be out in summer, otherwise you might just melt, but bring it out for those frosty mornings and you basically won’t feel the cold at all.
