Are you looking for some simple hairstyles to incorporate into your weekly morning routine? Try some of these looks to get a cute style in no time! From up do's to low buns, we have it covered.

We all have those days when we’re late for our lecture and our hair is a mess. Or those days when our hair is a hopeless situation and we just can’t deal with it. On those days, I always do simple hairstyles with my hair, like in the suggestions below. They are quick and easy to do, for short and long hair.

1) Half up hairstyle

An easy hairstyle and super quick for uni. You just have to take two strands from the front, and at the back star tying them together like you tie your shoe laces. Don’t create a bow but rather stop when you tie the two strands together. Secure with bobby pins or even a clear elastic band for both the strands.

2) Braid at the front

For this look, all you have to do is create a braid at the front. The braid can start either from one ear to the other, a bit higher around your temples. You can also create a small braid on the side of your face and swoop the rest of the hair to one side for one of the simple hairstyles we love.

3) Twisted front and a ponytail at the back

This is another one of the simple hairstyles that is both for short and long hair. You start with two strands at the front of your face, and you twist them towards the back. While twisting, you incorporate more pieces of hair, and then you tie everything at the back.

4) Half up bun

This is the easiest of the simple hairstyles for long and short hair. To be honest it’s my go-to hairstyle because it’s quick and easy. You gather half your hair and you either create a bun high at the crown of your head or a bit lower.

5) Ponytail

To jazz up a ponytail, you can add extra braids either starting from the front or at the tail of your pony. To add a bit of volume, you can backcomb a few strands.

6) French or dutch braids

The braids in the picture are dutch braids. French braids are when the strands go inwards instead of outwards as in the picture. They are easy to do and look cute on everyone! You can braid your hair all the way down or put an elastic band just when you’ve run out of hair to incorporate into your braid.

7) Messy bun

This is an easy guide I found for a messy bun. You gather your hair into a ponytail and then twist it, preferably into a rope braid. If you don’t have time to do a rope braid, then just twist two strands together but not tightly. Then twist the braid in a circular motion and pin it or use an elastic band.

8) Braided knots

This hairstyle may look complicated but it’s actually really easy! You start with half your hair; when you’ve gathered half your hair, you split it into two and do one knot as if you’re tying your shoe laces. Then you get a knot and two strands. To these two strands you incorporate a bit of hair from the sides and do another knot. You continue till there’s no hair left. You can either tuck the little ponytail underneath your braid or leave it out.

9) Messy low bun

This easy hairstyle is for both short and medium hair. All you need is some texture, that’s why it’s really easy with curly hair. You tie half your hair with an elastic band and then that same strand you turn it outwards and get it through the loop you created. Basically, half your hair goes through the hole you created at the top and does a 360 circle. Then you start tucking in the top half part the remaining strands. In other words, you are kind of creating a pocket for your hair!

10) Space buns

This is a really fun and easy hairstyle for university. You can either have half your hair in space buns or all of your hair. The procedure is easy as you have to create a bun on either side of your head. You can also add accessories to make it cuter, such as flowers or a bit of glitter!
