1. Mac and cheese in a mug  

Macaroni and cheese seems to be the international “I don’t have anything in the house” kind of meal. Because, let’s be honest, no college student ever runs out of macaroni, so sometime mac and cheese is just the perfect student meal. You just need to follow a few easy steps to prepare yourself a macaroni meal in your dorm. First of all, cook pasta right in the microwave because, you know, time. Then melt the pasta with loads of cheddar, mozzarella and milk. After mixing all ingredients together for a couple of minutes, you delicious meal is done. And you didn’t have to move all the way to town or mum’s house to get it.

2. Five minutes burrito bowl

The most annoying thing about dorm life is having to stand in long, interminable lines at the campus café just to buy the food you’re craving on the day. I fancy some Mexican food but can’t be bothered to queue up, then ditch the campus chipotle and make your own burrito bowl in your dorm. This option will not only save you the time, it will save you the cash, plus, it’s much healthier. To prepare a burrito bowl in 5 minutes all you need to do is pre-cook brown rice (you can either use the ones in pouches or frozen) and black beans. Add finely chopped tomatoes, onions and black olives then mix all ingredients together with sour cream, or alternatively use Greek yogurt for a healthier bowl. Once it’s done, top your hard work with your favourite cheese and sliced avocado. Et Voila, your meal is ready and served in 5 minutes. This is one of the tastiest easy recipes to make!

3. Mason jar Greek salad

College life often means there if no enough time for sit down meals. For this reason, meal preps are the best way to save time and still enjoy your meals without having to live with those sandwiched from the shop .To make the salad, just by some lettuce, your favourite veggies and whole grain and dig in with creativity. You can add a source of protein to it by adding slices of chicken breast or southern fried .

4. Microwave potato chips

Microwaves are probably every university student’s best friend. Running late for your 9 am lecture, just throw whatever you find in the microwave, heat it up and off you go. If you are always craving some snakes during your afternoon study time, then you will be surprised what your beloved microwave can do at the price of £0. Get a few potatoes from the kitchen, slice them as thin as possible, sprinkle with salt and throw them into the microwave. You will wonder why you never taught about doing this before as soon as you start munching your freshly made crisps. These are definitely one of the most delicious easy recipes to make!

5. Cheese cake in a mug

Time is precious when you are a university student, because you know, that essay is not going to write it by it self.
