10 Easy Monochromatic Makeup Looks To Do In A Rush

Monochromatic makeup looks are a sure-fire way to look like you spent ages getting ready, when actually you’ve made minimal effort. Most of these looks use 3 products or less, but if you can find yourself a multi-tasking 3-in-1 product, even better!

1. All-Over Bronze

Look like you’ve just come from an island vacation by going for an all-over bronze look. This look is warm and sun-kissed, and makes use of a bronzer on both the cheeks and lids. Top it off with a sheer brown lip and you’re all set. A great option for monochromatic makeup looks!

2. Peachy-Pink Flush

Cop an ethereal glow by opting for a peachy-pink monochromatic makeup look. This is a perfect everyday daytime look that you can put together in minutes with the help of a creamy lip and cheek tint. Use the same shade on your lids to really tie the whole look together.

3. Cool Toned Caramel

Looking for an edgy daytime look? This cool-toned caramel look is for you. This is a look that I actually wear myself from time to time, as it is so easy to throw on when in a rush, but still packs a punch. For this look, find a triple duty multi-stick so you just have to use one product!

4. Sun-Kissed Tangerine

This is a super fun look to rock on summer days, as it looks like you’ve spent tons of time at the beach and gotten a teeny bit of a sunburn. Find a true tangerine eyeshadow and lip, and leave your cheeks bare to let your naturally sun-kissed flush shine through. Super simple to wear when in a rush! A beautiful option when trying monochromatic makeup looks!

5. Pearlescent Pink

Amp up a monochromatic look by using products with a cool, pearlescent finish. This makeup would work really well for a subtle night-out look or even at a music festival. Simply use a pearlescent pink highlighter all over your eyes and cheeks, then swipe it over any mauve or berry lip colour.

6. Golden Goddess

Don’t be put off by the colour yellow. When used subtly, it can really brighten up your whole look. Opt for a golden, almost mustard yellow colour to use all over your face for a bright and monochromatic makeup look. This works especially well against blue or brown eyes.

7. A Touch of Sunset

Here’s another monochromatic makeup look to rock when in a rush in the summer. This time, opt for more mellow, sunset orange shades rather than bright corals. For fair-skinned gals, you can even skip lip colour all together for this look and keep your lips bare. Go for these monochromatic makeup looks if you want something simple and delicate.

8. Subtle Lilac

For a barely-there look, go for a subtle lilac shade all over your eyes, cheeks and lips. A cool-toned pink would also work really well for this look. There’s something about cool-toned shades that adds edginess to monochromatic makeup, even if you go for a lighter colour.

9. Muted Berry-Red

Don’t be intimidated by an all-red look. When used with a light hand, a monochromatic berry makeup look can be such a chic and sophisticated way to amp up your makeup for nighttime. This is the perfect going-out look to do in a rush — just remember to sheer out the red colour on your cheeks and eyes so you don’t end up looking like a clown!

10. Glossy All Over

If you’re really in a rush and only have 10 seconds to spare, then skip colour altogether and go for an all-over glossy look. Swipe some clear gloss on your lips, then run an opalescent highlighter over your cheek and brow bones. You’ll be out the door in less than 2 minutes!
