5 Easy Hairstyles For People Who Are Terrible With Hair

For some people, creating hairstyles is effortless and fun and the end product will look amazing; but for a lot of us we are the exact opposite – no matter how hard you try, every plait doesn’t hold and curls fall flat. This list of easy hairstyles is for you if you are one of those people who are hopeless with hair so that you can do something for a date, an event, or just to change up your everyday look!

1. Half Up Half Down Ponytail

The classic half up half down ponytail is probably the most effortless way to do a hairstyle that looks put together and classy. You can style it in a way that it is neat and tidy for work or an event, or you can mess it up for a more casual look. The half up half down ponytail is done by taking the top half of your hair and tie it in a ponytail at the back of your head, and you’re done! You can add a bit more style to the hairstyle by using colourful hairbands, a scrunchie or by tying a bow around where the hairband is.

2. Headband

This is the easiest hairstyle on the list, as with a headband all you have to do is put it on and you’re done. You can choose whether to pull back your hair or leave it in its natural parting with the headband, but that is the only hair styling choice you’ll have to make. The great thing about headbands is that you can buy so many for different occasions, making this a very versatile style to have down. You can buy a knotted scarf head band for a casual, everyday look; or a beaded, velvet Alice head band for a nice event or date!

3. Half Up Half Down Bun

This hairstyle is the same as the half up half down ponytail, except instead of tying your hair into a ponytail, you twist it into a bun instead. This look is a bit messier and more casual than the ponytail, but is equally as cute and looks great in photos. Similarly to the half up half down ponytail, you can jazz up the style of the bun my tying it with a scrunchie, or you could add hair clips or slides to the bun if you want to be really extra.

4. Hair Clips

Much like the headband, with hair clips, all you have to do is choose where you want the clip or slide and put them in (a bit of hairspray with these would be advised just to make sure they stay in place). As these are another accessory which you can buy, there are so many that you can purchase for different days and occasions – if you want something playful and casual go for a worded slide which seems to be everywhere at the moment, with words such as ‘babe’ and ‘girl power’ to purchase; for something more formal try a pearl clip!

5. Low Messy Bun

Messy buns are so effortless and look so cool, and though a high bun does look good, you can’t beat the casual yet aesthetic style of the low messy bun. All you have to do for this is take all your hair and messily tie it up into a bun at the nape of your neck, and then to ensure its messiness pull a few strands of hair up at the front and play with your hair a bit to get that messy chic look!
