We set ourselves goals and learn new things and decide what we want to bring into our future. So what better than to learn a few new recipes to bring into this bright Easter seasons. And it may as well be deserts, to go along with all of that Easter chocolate.

To get you going here are my 10 Easter dessert ideas to keep in mind this Spring.

1. Peanut butter Carrot Cake

Carrot cake just feels like an spring Easter dessert. A Cream cheese topping with rich carroty warming sponge is just perfect for your easter table after a meal. But why not mix up a traditional dish and add a few dollops of peanut butter in your sponge mix. Not only does it give a nice warm texture, but it really adds to and blends well with the creamy topping.

2. Chocolate Nest Cupcakes

It wouldn’t be Easter without nest cakes with little yellow chicks in the middle. Don’t over do your mixture and try to add many favours. Sometimes simple is better and you need to fulfil that chocolate craving. But add cereal in your frosting for a nice crunch.

3. Cookie Dough Eggs

These are great for a snack and an Easter dessert treat, especially when you’re all chocolated out, and need a buffer. All you need for this is to mix together your cookie dough ingredients then roll them into egg shapes, stick them in mini egg containers and they look great at any Easter party.

4. Lemon & Blueberry cake

Cake can be a little bit of a faff to make if you’re planning a big old Easter meal. But lemon and blueberry is the perfect Easter dessert. It just gives off spring vibes and is light a fluffy after a big meal. Its great with ice cream if its warm, or custard if its chilly.

5. Yogurt & Fruit

Yes, yogurt and fruit is a pretty simple desert. But if you’re planning a big meal and just need a nice simple Easter dessert why not. Experiment with fruits and yogurt flavours, and serve them in glass jars to spruce them up. Also feel free to sprinkle a little nut mug and cinnamon for a little something extra.

6. Banoffee Pie

I love banoffee pie over Easter, mainly because its light and refreshing, but also its very easy to make and you wont need to use up your precious oven space.

7. Raspberry & Prosecco Sorbet

On a hot day ice cream is just what you want. But on a cool Easter’s day/evening sorbet is exactly what you need. I love sorbet because its light, fresh and fruity. Plus its lasts forever. Whether you’re making it or buying it you can always go back for more and don’t have to worry about it spoiling or going off. Sorbet is also perfect aside a cocktail (or in one).

8. Caramel & White Chocolate Bar

These are great as party favours, or in goodie bags, either buy them or make them. All you need to do is melt white chocolate, add in caramel flavouring and add them to moulds, leave to set them pop them out and serve in little bags or boxes.

9. Cinnamon Bunny Biscuits

Biscuits are great Easter presents, snacks and deserts. Once they’re cooked, they’re cooked and temperature doesn’t matter, they’re non messy and don’t require cutlery. Just invest in some bunny themed cutters to get that true Easter feel.

10. Fruit Salad

Of course we love chocolatey, syrupy creamy Easter desserts. But we shouldn’t forget about all the lovely fruits that come into season in the spring time. Whether you’re watching your weight, or just want something light, a fruit salad is a awesome way to keep people going and experiencing all the lovely fruits of spring.
