8 Drugstore Alternative Products That Are Just As Good As The Originals
Let’s be honest, when it comes to make up, we can all be snobs at heart. You see an amazingly low price tag, and after the initial rush of glee, you wonder what toxic chemicals and disgusting ingredients have been used in the production process. It’s just too good to be true right? Wrong. Low price tag does not have to mean low quality, and we’re gonna prove it to you, with a list of eight drugstore and supermarket knock off products that are just as good as their high-end counterparts.
1. Lacura Aloha Bronzer- Aldi
This Aldi own brand bronzer is a dead ringer for Benefit’s “Hoola Bronzer”, and it isn’t Aldi’s only dupe version of a Benefit product, their “Lacura Too Legit! Mascara” the double of Benefit’s award-winning “They’re Real!” product.
Aldi mimics several other brands too, their “Naturals Eyeshadow Palette” mirroring the Urban Decay “Naked Palettes”, and their “Lacura Hot Cloth Cleanser” copying Liz Earle‘s “Cleanse and Polish”.

2. Hush Now Lipstick- Beauty Pie
This low-budget lipstick is based on the wildly popular Charlotte Tilbury “Matte Revolution Lipstick”, and it’s clear to us that the only thing it doesn’t match is the high price tag, with the same full-colour matte finish.

3. #6 Range- Poundland
This skincare range from Poundland mimics Boot’s No7 own skincare range, famed for it’s effectiveness. The “#6 Range” includes Anti-ageing Day and Night creams, Eye Cream, Derma Serum, and Collagen Filler.
4. Total Temptation Mascara- Maybelline New York at Boots
This fantastic low budget mascara has a lengthening and conditioning formula, and critics have raved about its quality, comparing it to Kevyn Aucoin‘s “The Volume Mascara” and Too Faced‘s “Better Than Sex Mascara”. In fact, in drugstores like Boots you can find a whole host of beauty dupes. Sleek Makeup‘s “Blush in Antique” is just like Illamasqua’s gorgeous “Powder Blusher in Ambition”, E.l.f Cosmetics’ “Hydrating Water Essence” mirrors La Prairie’s “Cellular Refining Lotion”, and Maybelline New York‘s “Baby Skin Instant Pore Eraser” is just as good as Benefit‘s “POREfessional Pore Minimizer”!

5. Burt’s Bees Skin Nourishment Day Lotion–Burt’s Bees at Holland and Barrett
As our world makes gradual efforts to become more eco-friendly, Burt’s Bees products are becoming more and more popular, especially their moisturising lip balms. But lip balms aren’t the only product they create. Their “Nourishment Day Lotion” contains SPF15 and Royal Jelly with Vitamins A, B2, and E, making it just as effective as MDNA Skincare’s “Finishing Cream”, which is close to a two hundred pound spend.

The Bodyshop‘s nourishing “Matte Lipstick” in Sienna Rose shade leaves almost the same colour and finish on your lips as MAC Cosmetics’ famous Velvet Teddy shade, only so much cheaper!

7. Ps Aqua Lash Mascara- Primark
Primark’‘s “PS” range is a lifesaver for so many reasons, mainly for it’s wide availability if you’re doing a last-min shop, and it’s super-cheap prices. Their mascaras though, are real steals, and even better, they’re super similar to our all time fave- Too Faced’s “Better Than Sex” Mascara.

8.Can’t Stop Won’t Stop Foundation Porcelain- NYX Professional Makeup at Superdrug
We will always adore Estée Lauder’s Double Wear Stay-in-Place Makeup SPF 10, but investing in this product takes such a huge slice of your finances. Have no fear however! NYX Professional Makeup‘s “Can’t Stop Won’t Stop Foundation Porcelain” is just as silky smooth as its high end counterpart, but well within budget.
