DIY projects are such a great way to experiment with your creative side, and what better way to get creative AND use those spare jars lying around, than to create a mini terrarium! These woodland masterpieces are made with layers of potting soil, charcoal, pebbles, moss and any small plants of your choice (succulents work great for this project).

3. Lip Balm

Can we talk about lip balms for sec? Those little pots of chap-stopping goodness that live at the bottom of our handbag, can be made at home in just a few minutes! And for your basic lip balm, all you need is three ingredients; beeswax, coconut oil and the essential oils of your choice. Melt them together, transfer the mixture to a small tin or clear pot, and wait for it to harden in the pot. Make these cute and easy lip balms for your friends, as cute gifts or just for yourself!

4. Framed Jewellery Holder

The trouble with having a lot of cute jewellery pieces, is that if you don’t have an organised place to put them, they can get tangled up and damaged. But not anymore, with this easy DIY framed jewellery holder! Go thrifting and try to find an awesome, vintage frame as your jewellery holder. Attach tiny hooks to the top inside edge of the frame for your necklaces and bracelets, and pins in the sides for your rings and earrings. Your jewellery will look picture perfect inside their new home, and add a surprisingly cute art addition to your room!

5. Chunky Knit Blanket

Handmade chunky knit blankets can be super expensive (but for good reason; they’re soo cosy!), so why not try and make your own! Head on down to your local craft store and pick up a couple balls of yarn. All you need is your soft, chunky yarn and your hands; no needles needed! The method to this soft, cute madness will set you for life for any knit DIY projects you decide to pick up in the future. Definitely a cute and easy project!

6. Wrapped Mason Jar Tea Light Holders

Tea lights are a great way to add a little bit of ambience to your room, or set the mood for a romantic evening. Make your own tea light holders out of mason jars that can be bought in any craft store or even your local grocery store. Once it’s dry,  light a candle inside and watch the glow make a mesmerising wrapped pattern on the jar!

7. Jar Candles

Instead of buying your candles at the store, why not try your hand at making them instead? Soy wax jar candles are so easy to make, use natural ingredients and smell amazing. The ingredients include both soy wax and beeswax, essential oils, a candle wick, an empty canning jar and pressed herb sprigs. This recipe for rosemary pressed herb candles is a great starting off point for your first DIY candle. But be careful; once you make one,  you might not be able to stop!
