10 Cute Hairstyles To Try Out This Spring

Now that winter’s coming to an end you can start experimenting with hairstyles again and let your locks free. Long gone are the days of woolly hats, beanies and a scarf wrapped around your face twice.  As the warming weather emerges, so does your spring wardrobe – so why not complete your look with some cute hairstyles! Here’s our list of 10 cute and very different hairstyles that you need to try out in the coming season.

1. Bangs and buns

If you’re looking for a feminine but chic look then this half-updo with a bun and light and messy bangs is the perfect combo. Having your hair down is super feminine but the bun adds character and volume to your hair.

2. Messy bangs

Embrace the spring spirit in the coming season by getting some messy bangs and letting your personality run free. Whether your hair is down or up, bangs are the perfect complementary addition and can also make you look younger and more youthful.

3. Wavy high ponytail

A high ponytail is a really fun hairstyle and one that’s perfect for the spring vibe. Curling your hair and creating waves (if you don’t already have natural waves) also adds shape and body to your hair, making it look big and bouncy.

4. Accent braids

This is another half-updo hairstyle, but this time with braids. Weaving braids into your hair create a super feminine and delicate look which is perfect for the season. You can also add colourful accessories and flowers to the braid to embrace spring even more.

5. Contrasting ombré

An ombré is a classic look for any season and looks great with wavy hair. Despite being a hairstyle that works all year around, it’s also great for spring as it’s two-toned. The lighter tones towards the bottom make it great for spring, especially if you go for a light brown, blonde or any pastel colours.

6. Half-up; half-down

This hairstyle has half the hair up in a ponytail with the rest hanging down naturally. It’s a feminine look that’s perfect for spring as it’s light and flowy. The ponytail adds volume to your hair, and the strands that frame your face also create a delicate look, which works with the season.

7. Natural bob

A natural bob can be fun and carefree, but also sophisticated and classy. Whichever mood you prefer, a bob is perfect for spring thanks to its light and bouncy nature. Having shorter hair towards the warmer months is something you may want to consider too as your head won’t feel as heavy. It’s perfect if you’re low maintenance and someone that wants to just get up and tackle the day.

8. Pastel locks

If you’re worried about pastel hair not being your thing, or that it’s too bold a look that you won’t pull off, then don’t worry too much. It’s important to find a colour that matches your skin tone and the mood you’re going for. In many cases, pastel colours like pinks and purples can be subdued and not too overpowering, which is great if you’re not into bold block colours. Pastels are the perfect colours for spring and when done right, can look amazing.

9. Sleek low ponytail

Messier ponytails have made the transition to sleek, low-slung versions. No matter your face shape, this hairstyle is super flattering, with many celebrities such as Kim Kardashian, Rihanna and Selena Gomez donning this look. It’s a hairstyle that looks sophisticated but it’s also surprisingly low maintenance. All you need is a straightener and some products on hand to deal with any flyaways.

10. Bold pixie cut

If you’ve been considering a pixie cut then take that leap of faith and just go for it – it’s hair, it’ll grow back. With a pixie cut, you’ll also have the opportunity to try new things, as the haircut can drastically change your sense of style. This means you can experiment with bolder makeup-up choices, bright colours, statement earrings and other choices that would stand out less if you had longer hair.
