For those blessed with a full bust, shopping for underwear on the high street can prove tricky. Here are 6 underwear companies that sell underwear for curvy women!
Panache is particularly fantastic for girls with a tiny back but full bust — they sell bras in a 28JJ, which can be extremely tricky to find. Fuller-bodied ladies can choose from a wide range of bras, including Panache’s young range, Cleo, up to a generous 46HH. You may need to size up in the back as Panache bras fit a little tightly there.
Like Panache, Curvy Kate is generous to small-bodied curvy girls, with K cups available all the way from 28 to 40 back. Back sizes larger than 40 stop at a G cup. Curvy Kate make some of the best strapless bras for larger busted women — if you’re sick of hoisting up your strapless bra every two minutes, definitely give them a go. They’re lifesavers!
Freya do a fantastic range of lingerie, swimwear and sports bras up to a 36K (38s stop at JJ, 40s at H). One of the best underwear brands for curvy women, Freya products are beautiful as well as practical whatever size you’re at.
Fantasie sell a range of elegant and mature underwear for curvy women, up to a 38JJ. As with many of the brands listed here, there are larger back sizes available but with limited cup sizes. A superb daywear brand for curvy women, they also stock a few fancier options for the evening.
As well as being a high street retailer for many of the other brands listed here, Bravissimo also make a selection of their own lingerie, sports bras and swimwear which are available up to a size 40L. Not only are they well made, but the designs and patterns are fun and brightly coloured regardless of size. Bravissimo also do a range of clothes with more bust room to flatter curvier girls — it’s well worth a look.
Gossard goes up to a 38G (though larger back sizes are available, they tend to stop at D or DD in the cup) and though this isn’t as big as many of the brands I’ve listed, the cups of Gossard bras do tend to run little large so be prepared to size down. Gossard make beautiful stylish bras, a larger alternative to the diminutive sizing of high street shops — perfect for curvy girls who want to show off their great figures.
Few bra shops are as accomodating of curvy women as Figleaves! Like Bravissimo, they sell a mixture of lingerie, sport and swimwear brands as well as their own, and cater to a wide range of shapes. An absolute blessing for curvy girls, Figleaves go all the way to an 46M cup and even more generous back sizes, though styles in the larger cups are a bit limited in terms of colour.
