Chocolate Desserts To Make Your Mouth Water

Chocolate is life. Chocolate is everything. Even just eating a simple bar is an absolute delight. And it’s scientifically good for us because it triggers the release of endorphins and serotonin, which make us feel happy. Chocolate comes in many forms, cakes, ice-cream, biscuits and much much more. But one of the best ways to have it is as an after meal dessert. So get ready for chocolate desserts to make your mouth water.

Chocolate Tart with White Chocolate Sauce

Chocolate tart is a dessert consisting of dark chocolate, cream and eggs, beaten together, poured into a crisp, sweetened pastry shell and baked until firm. The textures in chocolate tart are delightful because you have the soft and smoothness of the filling and crispiness of the crust and base. It can be eaten on its own but this recipe is served with a sweet white chocolate sauce and raspberries for an extra punch.

Self-Saucing Chocolate Pudding

A simple chocolate pudding is classic but nonetheless delicious. The name of this pudding is because it creates its own sauce below the sponge in the base of the dish. Super clever! It’s also really simple because again all you have to do is mix all the ingredients (butter, flour, sugar, baking powder, cocoa powder, milk, and eggs) into an ovenproof dish and cook on 180C for forty-five minutes.

Yeah, you heard right. No-bake! Cheesecake in any form or flavour is extraordinary so combining it with chocolate is the ultimate duo. The bottom layer often consists of either crushed cookies, graham crackers or a pastry and this recipe uses digestive biscuits (even better).

All you need to do is crush the digestive biscuits and mix with the melted butter and 1 tablespoon of the caster sugar. Press into a cake tin and refrigerate. The filling also has to be made by whipping cream until soft, adding cooled melted chocolate, then the cocoa powder mix. Beat the cream cheese and remaining sugar together. Fold in cream/chocolate mixture and mix thoroughly. Finally, spread onto the tin on top of crushed biscuits. Freeze for one hour and refrigerate for about 30 minutes. Yummy!

Pure chocolate and powder are actually milk free, so vegan safe. These brownies taste just like the real thing but use cocoa powder, dairy-free dark chocolate, and soya milk instead.
