Bright Eyeshadow Looks That Aren't Overwhelming

At some point in our lives, we’ve wanted to rock a bright eyeshadow look, especially now it’s summer and bright is in, but haven’t had the confidence or right technique to go through with it. Bright and bold colours can be scary and risky but when done right looks amazing. A bright eyeshadow look isn’t always as hard as it seems. Here are a collection of bright eyeshadow looks that aren’t overwhelming.

Pink Inner Eye

Inspired and created by Kylie Jenner is the pink inner eye look. The design is super quick and easy. Because the whole lid isn’t covered it is very subtle and far from overwhelming but still gives the pop of colour you’re after. Use a firm and small brush to place the eyeshadow exactly where you want it. You want to start a little amount of product and then build it up as it’s much easier to add to a small amount rather than taking away a large amount. After applying, clean up the edges with a makeup wipe or a wet cotton bud if needs be.

Burnt Orange and Yellow Sunset

Sunset eyeshadow is Instagram’s latest beauty trend and everyone is loving it. It’s the perfect holiday look. The colours work best with more olive toned skins and brown eyes, since both work as a neutral base and compliment the burnt shades.

Metallic Smoky Green

Metallic is a great way to make green a useable and cool colour. An emerald shade like this goes great with gold and silver to match your jewelry and bring out the shimmer in your eyes. The black and smokiness of the look take away the dramatic boldness and brightness to make the look much less overwhelming. An amazing look for a night on the town.

Blue Waterline

Again this is another look that is really easy. Pick a neutral colour like beige or something plain like white for your top lid, then take a bright sapphire blue to run along your waterline and under. Creates a stunning pop of colour that isn’t too much. Simplicity designs as such go great when paired with other accessories like your earrings or handbag.

Outer Corner

If you’d prefer to cover more of your lid than the inner corner look does but not the entire thing then an outer corner look could be best for you. Pick a neutral colour like beige or something plain like white for the majority of your lid and then in the corner gradually blend a brighter colour in. Build it up as it’s much easier to add to a small amount rather than taking away a large amount, as we’ve seen before.
