If you love books then you definitely love old bookshops, bookstagrams, bookmarks and everything to do with books! Perhaps you love books so much that you want to fill your Instagram feed with them. Well, if that is the case for you then here are 10 books related Instagrams you should follow right now.
1. Lit Emporium
Their handle is ‘litemporium’ and their feed consists of adorable gifts for literature lovers including badges, cards, calendars and clothing. This Instagram is great if you have a lot of bookish friends or if you enjoy book-related merchandise. And even if you do not purchase anything from here it is a nice addition to any book lovers Instagram feed.
2. Bookishly
Their full Instagram handle is ‘bookishlyuk’ and similarly to Lit Emporium, they have great gifts for book lovers and adorable posts that are sure to make you smile when you scroll by them.
3. Sophisblogging
I followed this Instagram a while back and later followed the blog, both of which are brilliantly bookish! Her Instagram feed consists of your standard bookstagram posts – cute coffee mugs, bookshelves and books galore. It is also worth checking out her blog as well as she reviews books and talks about writing and all sorts of good things! Her Instagram handle is ‘sophisblogging’ so go give it some love!
4. The Bookish Box
This Instagram features its monthly subscription box and all the goodies inside, specially designed for young adults and adults. This is a great gift if you have any literature lovers in your life and their feed usually follows the theme of the book box each month – which varies from characters who defy odds to time travel.
5. British Library
If you are interested in the history of books and literature than this is the Instagram for you! The British Library itself is exquisite and their website is an excellent source of information. Their Instagram feed isn’t quite bookish but it is full of letters, paintings and general relics to do with history and books.
6. Penguin Classics
If you have ever stepped foot into a Waterstones then you are sure to have seen the stunning hardback classics that they sell there. I for one have admired them for a very long time. The Penguin Classics Instagram feed consists of the gorgeous classics that they have published. Be sure to check this page out if you are a fan of the classics or if you are just a fan of books.
7. Reading Women
The Instagram handle ‘thereadingwomen’ is about the podcast with the same name that celebrates women in literature. On their podcast, they discuss women within literature and women in the literary canon and female authors. Their Instagram is chock full of great books by women and about women.
8. Riverhead Books
Riverhead is an imprint of Penguin and goes by the Instagram handle ‘riverheadbooks’. Publishers and imprints of publishers are the best to follow if you are interested in new books or just love the aesthetic of books.
9. Literary Hub
This one is less aesthetic than your typical book Instagram but it does have some hilarious book related jokes that I personally enjoy.
10. Fiction Matters
For my tenth and final book related Instagram, I give you ‘fictionmatters’. This one features some brilliant bookish posts and some even better book recommendations. This one has the added bonus of a dog that regularly features in posts, what could be better than good books and a cute dog?
