Best Romantic Comedies To Watch This Valentine’s Day

Are you looking for the best romantic comedies to watch this Valentine's Day? This article shares a list of the ones you should try this year!

There is no need for special occasions to watch or rewatch some of the best romantic comedies. However, if you ask me, there is no better day to force your significant other to watch together a romcom than Valentine’s Day. There are so many amazing movies it might be quite hard to choose. I narrowed it down to ten of my (and many others) favourites. This is the list of the best romantic comedies to watch this Valentine’s Day!

1. Crazy Stupid Love

The first on my list of the best romantic comedies is Crazy Stupid Love and for a very good reason. No matter how many times you watch it, it’s always funny and exciting. Watch as three, what seems like unconnected stories unravel before your eyes as the main characters try to find love and themselves again.

2. To All The Boys I’ve Loved Before

Meet Lara Jean, one of the cutest and most relatable movie characters from one of the best romantic comedies of 2018. Follow her as she faces the consequences of love letters she had written to her crushes being sent to all those boys. Prepare yourself to get a crush yourself, because Peter Kavinsky is absolute boyfriend goals.

3. 13 Going 30

This is one of the classics that had to make its way to my list of the best romantic comedies. It’s funny and witty as the main character Jenna wishes to be ‘thirty and thriving’ for her birthday and that wish actually comes true.

4. Life As We Know It

The next movie is maybe a little bit sadder than the rest, it lives up to the title – it is about life. Holly and Eric truly hate each other until one day they need to join forces to help raise their best friends’ child.

5. The Duff

A romantic comedy showcasing perfectly (with a tiny bit of exaggeration) what it is like to be in high school. Bianca is best friends with two beautiful popular girls in her school, supposedly making her the Duff. Watch as she tries to overcome it and with the help of her neighbour she tries to find love and happiness.

6. How To Lose A Guy In 10 Days

The next one is a classic everyone should watch at least once. It’s funny and beautiful, filled with cute romantic scenes. To be honest, Mathew McConaughey is made for playing roles like that – he’s charming and can make a girl fall in love with just the way he talks. Watch as Andy, a journalist from women’s magazine is trying to write an article ‘How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days’ trying out her theories on an unaware of the situation Benny.

7. Ghosts of Girlfriend’s Past

Another classic and definitely one of the best romantic comedies with Mathew McConaughey in it. Take ghosts from The Christmas Carol and transform them into disappointed exes who decided to haunt the boy who broke their hearts and teach him how he should really treat women.

8. Leap Year

If you are a fan of British banter, this movie will be for you. The main character Anna tries to get to Dublin to propose to her boyfriend. Unfortunately, things don’t go according to plan and she ends up in an old Irish pub run by a grumpy owner, Declan.

9. Love, Rosie

If you love stories about two best friends being secretly in love with each other, this one is for you. Follow Rosie and Alex as they grow up together not knowing and being scared to admit that the right person has been by their side all along.

10. Bridget Jones’s Diary

The last but certainly not least on my list of the best romantic comedies to watch this Valentine’s Day is an absolute classic that everyone loves. Watch as Bridget ends up in a love triangle with the charming Mr Darcy and the dreamy Daniel Cleaver.
