In the society we currently live in it is hard to feel beautiful when you do not feel comfortable in your skin. Hyperpigmentation is a skin condition that many people suffer from; sometimes it can simply be dark circles under the eyes or result from sun damage and other times it can be genetically darker skin patches. Regardless, these are some remedies for skin discolouration that have worked for me and that I hope will work for you too.
This bowl of sunshine leaves your skin feeling smooth and if used regularly actually naturally reduces discolouration in the skin. All you need is 1 tablespoon of ground turmeric and 1/2 of honey. If you have oily skin, you can add some yoghurt to help and if you have dry skin you can try coconut oil instead.
This plant gel contains rich nutrients that leave your skin feeling soft. It is known for treating dead skin which reduces discolouration.
Fresh lemon applied to your face works as an acidic exfoliant that sloughs off old discoloured skin and brightens the areas, this is because it is high in vitamin C. Warning! Lemon tends to irritate the skin, so it would be best to mix it with a paste or apply it with cotton.
Getting rid of discolouration may seem long but patience is key. Chickpeas are a great way to get there. Begin by mixing some chickpeas flower with turmeric and adding two tablespoons of milk.
Potato skin brightens dark patches. For this remedy, you need to apply the potatoes skin over your dark area before you go to bed and rise of in the morning. If you continue to do so, you will see great results.
Orange peels have bleaching properties which are great for dark patches. What you need to do is peel some oranges, add some milk and mix them together. Apply it onto the dark areas of your skin and leave on for thirty minutes before rinsing off.
