The 15 Best Mixed Drinks With Tequila For Your Tequila Loving BFF

Tequila is bad for you and you know you always regret drinking it the day after a night out. Yet, you keep going back to the same mistake all over again. Ditch the classic tequila shots with salt and lemon that kill your soul slowly every time you have one. There’s no reason for your tequila journey to end at the salt rim so here are 15 mixed drinks with tequila ideas for you and your tequila loving BBF. As always, make sure you are drinking responsibly.

1. Paloma Cartuja

This cocktail contains a long list of ingredients: blanco tequila, Yellow Chartreuse, cinnamon syrup, fresh grapefruit juice, fresh lime juice, soda water. All ingredients except for the soda are combined in a shaker and shaken briefly with loads of ice. Then the fine strain the mixture into empty glass. Add the soda, fill with cubed ice and finally garnish with grapefruit peel.

2. Jalisco Express

First place basil, jalapeno, and cucumber slices in shaker. then add agave syrup and muddle. Add in lime juice, white tequila and ice. Then shake, double strain, serve over ice in lowball glass and garnish with a Tajin rim.

This is a heavy one. For experts only. You will need: jasmine pearl green tea, reposado tequila, Chinese 5-spice syrup, lemon juice (this is a must where there is tequila) and Negro Modelo beer.

4. Classic agave Margarita

It doesn’t always have to be complicated. Sometimes simple ingredients and simple steps are just enough. This recipe is made out of just tequila, fresh lime juice, agave syrup, and salt. Enjoy, this is one of the best mixed drinks with tequila!

The recipe for this cocktail needs tequila, grapefruit juice (freshly squeezed), large blackberries, a few sage leaves, cane sugar cubes. All ingredients must be well shaken in a cocktail shaker with of course, load of ice.

Use sanding sugar to rim a glass. Then, pour tequila over ice. Top with lime soda and sparkling water then (more sparkling water for less sweetness). garnish with cucumber slices and rosemary sprigs. If you prefer a sweeter drink, add more soda.

This is a two- ingredient cocktail very easy to make. Simply add grapefruit soda to tequila and garnish with a lime slice

Here is all you need to make yourself a bell pepper and lime tequila drink. Jalapeño peppers, limes, pineapple, and yellow bell peppers and of course your best tequila.

9. St. Germain Margarita

What really makes this margarita distinctive is the Elderflower Liqueur, which pair really well with tequila and lime juice.

Orange Strawberry Tequila Fizz couldn’t be any easier to make. You will only need muddled strawberries, fresh orange juice, lemon and lime for a refreshing taste and ice to complete the job.

Shake vigorously and pour into the salt rimmed glass with ice cubes, garnish with Lime wedges and drink.

Just your regular tequila drink with a hint of salt to it. You can either decorate your glass with salt, or even add a bit to the rest of the ingredients before shaking with ice.
