Whether it’s Italian gelato or your standard Mr Whippy, all types of ice cream leave you with a smile on your face, a satisfied feeling in your tummy and a little bit of ice cream on your nose. I know good gelato (did I mention I’ve done a year abroad?) and am somewhat a bit of an ice cream geek, and can tell you that these 15 ice cream places in London all have something different and delicious to offer. La Gelatiera presents you with flavours of the month so you know the seasonal scoops will be fresh and specially-chosen. Apparently, their pistachio flavour is to die for (literally for me as I’m allergic) and they have wild and quirky flavours like porcini mushroom and chocolate (?!) and standard favourites like vanilla for all sorts of gelato lovers. They even do a gluten free cone!
With branches from Stratford to Camden, and even North America to Africa, Amorino’s beautifully crafted gelato-flowers, are both utterly Instagram-able and utterly delicious! One of the ice cream places in London where you’ll get the prettiest ice cream you’ll ever see.
This Italian brand has now come to London, aren’t we lucky?! The Italian guys that founded Grom started it so that they could make gelato ‘the way it used to be made.’ They promise no additives and all natural ingredients for all their Italian flavours, which are all gluten-free.

You can find Snowflake Luxury Gelato in Selfridges, where they are currently selling their awesome Avo-latos! Now, this I’d go to every single event for this society. I’d pay membership and all. The Soft Serve Society’s ice creams look like a Helter Skelter from the ice-cream gods. Their charcoal soft serve ice creams are particularly fun looking, and while they might not seem like they fit perfectly into your summer vibes, they’re also a bit too cool not to cop.
The soft fluffy clouds scooped beneath the ice cream scoops at The Milk Train are ones for those with a super-sweet tooth! If you’re giving Covent Garden a visit you should definitely hop onto the Milk Train.
