Having grown up in the Southside of Glasgow, I’ve tried and tested my fair share of ice cream around the neighbourhoods which make up this side of the city which I call home. I’d even go as far as to say that my local ice cream shop played a huge roll in my up-bringing – in spite of living in a country where the average temperature rarely gets above 16 degrees, we seemed to get through a lot of ice cream. Although, with the heatwave we’ve been having recently, I have been revisiting a lot of these childhood haunts to cool down with a timeless single nougat wafer. Every ice cream shop has its own individual charm, and we’re lucky in the Southside that there is an impressive selection to choose from. Here we have 5 of the places with the best ice cream in Glasgow’s South Side, which continue to attract clientele from all over the city, time and time again!
