The Best Dressed Royal Wedding Guests That Aren’t Getting Enough Credit

The wedding has now past and Harry and Meghan have driven lazily off into the English sunset in their electric Jaguar. But just because the wedding day has happened, doesn’t mean we can’t keep talking about one of the biggest days on celebrity’s social calendars. I’m of course talking about the fashion, so let’s delve into the most underrated fashions of the 2018 royal wedding from royal wedding guests.

Carey Mulligan

Carey kept it simple and had her light blonde hair tied in a messy plait over her shoulder. This hair style worked well with the floaty floral floor length dress she opted for. The dress had floating capped shoulders and was matched with grey lace up heels.  The actress looked more than happy attending the event with husband Marcus Mumford.

Gina Torres

Meghan Markle’s Suits co-star Gina Torres arrived at Windsor in a high necked below the knee cut out red dress.  The cut outs add an edge of Hollywood glamour to the overwise conservatively cut dress. The dress was then paired with nude accessorises to keep all attention on the red and white flower design.

Kitty Spencer

Cousin of the groom, Kitty Spencer arrived at the event looking stunning in a dark green floral dress and matching hatinator. She paired the dress with plenty of diamonds in both a choker necklace and earrings.  The oranges in this painting design dress are reused in bright orange heels, bringing the whole ensemble together.

Amal Clooney

Amal paired a canary yellow Stella McCartney dress and hat with incredible gold shoes by Gianvito Rossi. This outfit brought the sunshine to the wedding with the wonderful deep yellow. Whilst the metallic shoes, and clutch bag, added that flare that Amal is getting recognised for in her latest fashion endeavours. Her husband, George Clooney, also used the sunshine tones in his own outfit as he matched his tie and pocket square to Amal’s dress.

James Matthews

The former professional race car drive and husband to Pippa Middleton, showed up to the spring event in a traditional morning suit. However, he added a splash of colour to his black jacket by wearing a sky-blue waistcoat and pink tie. These outfit choices matched with his wife Pippa who’s dress was a pale blue with pink flowers – reminiscent of a bottle of Arizona Tea. They are definitely some of the best dressed royal wedding guests.

Sofia Wellesley

The lawyer wife of singer James Blunt and daughter of Lord and Lady Henry Wellesley impressed many with her beautiful floor length floral collared dress and strappy heels. The sun was shining on her garden dress and ensured she outshone her husband in his traditional morning suit.

Cressida Bonas

Showing up to your ex-boyfriends wedding has already got to be a tough decision, made only more tough by the fact that Cressida’s ex-boyfriend is no other than Prince Harry. Despite this, Cressida showed up in a wonderfully colourful tea-length dress. The pinks and greens in this dress are so vibrant and eye catching that I’m sure everyone was focusing on how great she looked, and not that Harry was getting married.

Karen Spencer

Wife of the 9th Earl Spencer, Karen, turned up in a form fitting Pamela Rolland royal purple dress. This dress was paired with a matching purple capelet and fascinator. The floral design on the fascinator added elegance to her outfit and created pattern within one tone of purple.

Doria Ragland

Mother of the bride, Doria, arrived in Windsor in a pale green knee length dress with matching summer coat. Both the dress and the coat were embroidered with delicate white flowers and were accompanied by a matching pale green hat. The dress and coat were designed by Fernando Garcia and Laura Kim who worked closely with Ragland to create the look. Doria represented Meghan’s family at this royal event and looked amazing doing so. She was one of the most photographed of the royal wedding guests I’m sure.
