10 Beauty Hacks From Your Favourite Celebrities

As some of the most flawless people on the planet, celebrities spend years curating their favourite makeup, hair, and skin care hacks. Here are ten beauty hacks from your favourite celebrities to help you get some Hollywood glam in your life (don’t forget to grab your glue sticks and nipple cream first!).

1. Bella Hadid dunks her fully made up face in water

The stunning younger sister of supermodel Gigi is fond of an unusual Korean makeup setting technique known as Jamsu. Basically, Bella pats her made-up face with baby or translucent powder, and then dunks her face into a bowl of cold water to set her makeup and give her an airbrushed matte finish. Considering the model is always rocking fabulous makeup looks, she must be onto something with Jamsu.

2. Chloe Moretz washes her face with olive oil.

This gorgeous actress is a huge fan of the oil cleansing method, a cleansing technique that has revolutionised the skincare game. “I wash my face with olive oil. I swear my skin is so much clearer because of it,” she told Allure.

3. Nicole Kidman uses a cranberry juice hair rinse for flaming red hair

Renowned redhead Nicole Kidman uses this weird trick to keep her fiery locks looking fresh. Using a 100% cranberry juice mask will give redheads a natural, semi-permanent boost minus the damage (and you’ll smell delicious!). Add this weird but wonderful tip to your stash of beauty hacks!

4. Margot Robbie applies her foundation with a toothbrush

Hollywood fave Margot Robbie uses a toothbrush to blend her foundation into her hairline for a natural finish. She told Harper’s Bazaar UK: “Especially because I have blonde hair but tanned skin, if I don’t blend it, it looks gross – you can see the foundation in my hair. I do that every single day, and every time my husband is like, “What are you doing?” And I say, “I’m brushing my make-up into my hairline!” And he’s like, “Girls are crazy.”

5. Beyoncé gets her eyebrows on fleek with glue sticks

Queen of everything Beyoncé actually borrowed this technique from a different type of queen. Drag queens have been using glue sticks to hold their eyebrows in place for years, and now this beauty hack is migrated to mainstream makeup looks. Beyoncé’s makeup artistsprefers Elmer’s Glue Stick, but any old non-toxic glue stick will do.

6. Shailene Woodley makes her own skincare products

The YA star and natural beauty guru opened up about her homemade health and beauty endeavours in 2014, telling Into The Gloss “I started studying the lifestyles of indigenous cultures, and through that, herbalism. That empowered me to make my own beauty products—how could I make my own lotion with medicinal properties?”

7. Catherine Zeta-Jones boosts her hair with this boozy concoction

Another fan of yummy hair rinses, this Welsh starlet creates a mixture of honey and beer for her own DIY conditioner. Beer rinses are used to give volume and repair damaged hair, while the hops used in preparation for beer are said to contain silica, which helps promote hair growth. Finally, a valid excuse to bring a beer into the shower.

8. Margot Robbie has an unusual use for nipple cream

Another hack from this Aussie superstar, Margot is clearly the queen of celebrity beauty hacks. She opened up to Elle UK about her unusual lip balm choices. “And then my lip balm, I use Bepanthen, which is actually a nipple cream for breastfeeding mothers or diaper rash cream for babies. I have a conspiracy theory that lip balms actually have additives in them to dry your lips out so you keep buying them. But because Bepanthen is just a cream for dry skin, it works. It’s what I’ve used my whole life.”

9. Halle Berry wakes her skin up with this anti-cellulite hack

Actress and former beauty queen Halle Berry adds coffee grinds to her body wash, in line with the understanding that caffeine and mild exfoliation can increase blood flow and smooth the skin. The 52 year old is known for her cutie lil booty so she must be on the right track with coffee grinds!

10. Rashida Jones adds yoga into her beauty routine

Face yoga, to be exact. The American actress, who strives for diversity in the beauty industry, is a fan of this beauty hack. “I can’t tell if it really makes a difference, but it feels like it wears out my muscles and I’m doing something important. I don’t know, I think I like it. But I definitely can’t do it in public. It looks really stupid” she told Refinery29.
