10 Amazing Food Places In Canterbury
One of the best things when exploring the city is the eateries surrounding you. Particularly in a city like Canterbury, you’re completely spoiled for choice. Canterbury has it all. Places for desserts, diners and vegetarian and vegan eateries too! If you’re stuck for somewhere to go in Canterbury, here are some great food places to go to when you need to grab something to eat.
1. Chocolate café
To all chocolate lovers, this is the best place for you to go. They have everything chocolate from their waffles to their milkshakes. It’s a great place to go if you want to study somewhere different. Plus, have a second floor where they have a wide variety of parties. With great food and a great view of the Cathedral, it’s a lovely café to go to.
2. Tim’s Tiny Tearoom
This 1930’s traditional tearoom is the most popular tearoom in Canterbury and is the recommended place to go if you want to have some afternoon tea. With their wide selection of teas and their freshly made scones, you can sit back and relax in this beautiful 1930’s styled tearoom.
3. Byron
This eatery is across the UK, yet its food uses amazing American recipes and meals. This place is great if you’re in the mood for a burger and some fries. They also sell vegetarian meals too if you like burgers but want to avoid meat.
4. Cite Crepes
There are many food places in the city centre but this one has always been one of my favourites. Close by the city library, there is a small but lovely stall that sells amazing crepes that are made right in front of you.
5. Pork and co.
You guessed it, it sells everything pork. They even do Deliveroo so, if you live in the centre of Canterbury, you can have the opportunity to eat from them without leaving the comforts of your home. If you are in the mood to go out, this is a great place to go to too!
6. Skinny Kitchen
This beautiful little café has something for everything, particularly for vegetarians and vegans. If you want something for breakfast, lunch or dinner, this food place is the perfect spot for some great food.
7. Wagamamas
My friends brought me here for dinner and its always has good value for money. If you want to eat out but want to keep healthy, this is the place to go. They offer a wide range of Asian food and healthy smoothies. Whether you are eating in the restaurant or ordering in with Deliveroo, this is the perfect place to eat from if you want to eat out but keep healthy.
8. Ask Italians
This was a favourite place to go when people wanted to celebrate their birthdays but wanted to go somewhere sophisticated. Their specialty is (of course) Italian and they serve a wide range of brilliant pizzas and pasta dishes. If you’re looking for a place for date night or if you’re looking for a place to treat yourself, this is a great place to go.
9. The Refectory Kitchen
If you’re looking for some good English food, this is the place to go. This family run café opens from morning to about noon, serving nothing but breakfasts, brunches and lunches. Perfect if you have a long day ahead!
