10 Affordable Makeup Brands For Beauties On A Budget
There’s nothing better than finding one of the few affordable makeup brands that gives high quality expensive brands (such as Mac and Inglot) a run for their money. We understand this at SOCIETY19 and have complied a list of amazing affordable makeup brands that won’t break the bank. If you haven’t heard of some of these yet, you can thank us later.
1. E.L.F
Not a lot of people seem to be familiar with E.L.F. The cute name stands for eyes, lips, face, pretty self-explanatory. Everything is beautifully packaged and with gorgeous blushers, eye shadows, and brow kits under €10 you can’t go wrong.
2. Morphe
Morphe has the most amazing eye shadow palettes! I swear by them. They’re so pigmented and come with so many alternate shades in one palette and range from matte to shimmery. With palettes ranging around €25 you can’t go wrong, as all palettes are guaranteed to serve you on many glamorous nights out and also come with more toned-down shades for casual day-to-day wear. You can thank me later!
3. Collection
As all girls know the perfect eyeliner is a precarious balance of skill, faith in yourself, and a steady hand. But after that it’s all down to the product and Collection holds a special place in my heart because it’s the brand I go to for my liquid eyeliner. It’s tiny with a long narrow handle and a pointed brush, it also doesn’t hurt that it’s only €3. Collection is very reasonably priced with some amazing products and stunning nail polish.
4. Sleek
Sleek makeup is beautiful. They currently have a highlighting palette out that is so pretty it makes me want to cry. Their powders and eye shadows are so rich and pigmented I ended up browsing their website for 20 minutes. The best news though is that everything is mostly under €15!
5. Catrice
Where would we be without Catrice? Since Catrice can usually be found by the Penneys’ checkout I think a lot of girls are quick to dismiss it as cheap makeup. But the low prices don’t mean low quality, as this brand is full of the prettiest nail polish, and the most amazing concealer and brushes.
6. Birchbox
Birchbox is a beauty subscription box service, for those of us who love trying out new products but can’t always afford to. Sign up and you get an exciting monthly delivery of 5 luxe beauty treats, direct to your door. Including well-known brands, you’ll receive a mix of makeup; skincare, body and hair care treats each and every month to discover from the comfort of your home. All for the very affordable price of only €15 per month.
7. Natural Collection
Natural Collection have a wide range of very very affordable makeup products. With the majority of the range under €3 this is one makeup splurge you won’t feel guilty about. Perfect for the days we want to treat ourselves but our bank accounts won’t let us.
8. BeautyBay
This is cheating a little bit, BeautyBay isn’t a makeup brand, but rather a wonderful website where tones of fantastic makeup brands can be found in one place. If you haven’t heard of BeautyBay you’ve been missing out. You can easily filter the price range to suit your budget and browse away through heaps of make up brands you may not have known existed. Free shipping to Ireland too!
9. Essence
The makeup and all of the accessories produced by essence, such as makeup brushes and eyelash curlers, are really really inexpensive. You can also catch this brand in Penneys and they always have new and exciting products coming out.
10. Wet n’ Wild
This colourful, affordable brand took America by storm and did the same when it came to Ireland in 2014. An added bonus is that for those of us who need a little help with their eyes, they actually have helpful baked on instructions in their mini eye shadow palettes of where to place the shadow, whether it’s your lid or your crease.
